I know there are a lot of threads about this, but there isn’t one huge one, and I think it’d be great if there was! So I’m trying to start one, especially since I’m really excited because I just talked with FMIL and found out she would feel honored to provide what I think will be the perfect something borrowed 🙂
Something Old: Some of the lace from my mother’s wedding dress, wrapped around my bouquet.
Something New: My dress! No bonus points for originality here, but I don’t care 🙂
Something Borrowed: My FMIL’s late mother’s diamond tennis bracelet! I’m so lucky!
Something Blue: My garter 😉

@tropical_chic: I think items can definitely multi-task! Especially an heirloom like that.
@MsGolightly: Do you have any pics of that brooch? I’d love to see it 🙂
@daniellemc: Ours are similar! I hope the veil works out!
@mrswhitemtn: Love the pearls and shoe decals!
@librarygirl85: Love that you’re incorporating a wedding scent! I haven’t decided what to do for mine yet.
@soinlove79: LOVE that garter idea! I love Doctor Who, and plan on doing something to reference it at our reception or something 🙂

something old- i don’t know yet! How old does something old have to be? A year? 5? 10?
something new- dress, veil, shoes, etc

@ladyamalthea: I’m not 100% on some of these but here are my thoughts for now.
Something Old: Handkerchief? Or could be mypearl necklace FI got me for our anniversary last year.
Something New: My dress, shoes, undergarments.
Something Borrowed: My grandpa’s handkerchief….could be the “old” item too. Not 100% for sure on this but I know I will tear up a lot this day and I’ll want something other than kleenex to wipe the tears away.
Something Blue: Maybe my garter? Or shoes? Brooch? Piece in my bouquet since I’m using silk flowers and making my own? Not sure yet.

Something old: antique ring on my right hand
Something new: my slip
Something borrowed: the antique ring lol… 2 birds with one stone

And everyone seems to forget the rest of the rhyme… a sixpence in her shoe. I had my MIL send me a real sixpence (she lives in the UK). I put it in my shoe during the ceremony for good luck.
