I learned my LP is really short (9 days). I’m starting B6 this month To hopefully remedy that.

PetuniaPie:  Same amount of time charting here. I’ve learned that I ovulate about a week after the “typical” woman, so around CD20-22. And my LP has been nice and steady at 14 days. I also learned that my tell-tale sign of O is tender/sensitive nipples for 4-5 days starting on or a day before O. I also spot 2-3 days before my period starts.

It really is amazing the things you can learn about your body and cycle through charting! 🙂

PetuniaPie:  Migraines and a heavy flow suck, but it’s great that you ca be prepared now!

I learned lots from charting, mostly just generally how my body works, and how my cycles work. I always have had fairly unpredictable cycles and it’s nice to be able to know what’s coming.

I learned that I ovulate later than the “average,” that I have a shorter LP, and that I usually spot for a day before AF.  It was so useful to chart for a year before TTC!

jammer62:  Same thing. I’ve been taking B-6 for about 3 months and last month finally had a 13 day LP. Hopefully it wasn’t a fluke.

That I have irregular cycles. Not sure if it’s still adjusting to being off BCPs (since April when I started charting) or just how I am. The earliest I’ve ovulated is CD18 and the latest CD28. Hoping it evens out a bit more before TTC next summer. That I typicall (and I say typically because sometimes our bodies just do weird shit) have O signs of O pains and light spotting the day to two days before O. That I can clearly feel the actual temp shift after I’ve O’ed- I usually have a day or two after where I wake up hot and burn up the entire day. Then, I can clearly feel the chill that takes over when AF arrives.

Oh…and that you can never really know what your body is going to do. Sometimes, things are just off.

SadieBee:  Remind me, what was your LP length before getting pregnant?

KatiePi:  My LP ranged from 10-12 days, but most of the time it was 11 days.

SadieBee:  Okay, cool. Thank you! There’s hope for me then! Hoping the new 13 days last month will be my new norm and wasn’t just a fluke.

Short LP here as well! I would have 27-28 day cycles, but ovulate on day 17 or 18. If I had planned BDing based on having a typical 28 day cycle and O’ing on day 14, I’d have missed my FW every month! Yay for charting!

KatiePi: I got KU’d despite a 9-10 day LP!

bananasareyellow:  Alright! That’s good to know. When I first started charting I was really worried about my LP. These stories are reassuring!

I’m only in my first month of charting so I’m still learning what my signs of ovulation are. this is also my first cycle off of HBC so it could take me a while to figure everything out. This cycle seems to be normalish. Though my temps are all over the place.

PetuniaPie: I learnt I ovulated at least a week later than the average. I get a headache on the morning my period starts.

I learned I can have every pregnancy symptom in the book & not be pregnant.  Before learning about temp drops, I’d tell myself that maybe the tests were wrong.
