Hi again bees!
Just as a reminder, my dress:
The look I’m after is not a “simple” look (or I would have chosen another gown) but a classy one. So I’m trying to accessorize it as much as it can be done without being too much.
As far as the jewelry goes, I think I only have two options I’m comfortable with:
- Edwardian jewelry: filigree (silver or platinum or white gold), pearls (glass pearls or natural ones), diamonds (which I don’t like the way I don’t like gold I will have Swarovski crystals instead) and few colored stones (I’m in love with morganite).
- pearl jewelry, either Victorian style or vintage style (ie multi stranded choker with a cabochon of some sort, matching bracelet, eaariings and hair comb)
Which style do you think will serve this ensemble better?
The wedding ceremony and reception are in a small medieval Irish castle.

i would suggest go for either Victorian style or vintage style, which I think suits your wedding dress

I would totally go with the pearl option. I think your dress is absolutely stunning! I’d go with the classic simple pearls. Welcome and good luck with your wedding in Ireland!

i vote for pears!!
LOVE that beautiful dress… the pearls are SO classic

I LOVE your dress! I agree with the pearls – a single strand choker with crystal clasp.

I would go with vintage style pearl jewelry

With that neckline and sleeves, the only thing I’d wear with it is simple pearl or diamond earrings as well as a plain, sheer veil. All the work is in the dress,so no need for anything else,IMHO.

Thank you so much for all the replies!
@smyley: it all depends on what look one is after I guess… I lean more on the Oscar de La Renta side than on the “sheer and simple” one. Both are classy, albeit in different ways, but my point is, it’s not only a matter of what’s right for the gown but also whatìs right for the personality of who wears it. I am a Mediterranean person and it definitely shows… so there’s no point in trying to look meek and gentle 😉

Lol. Good answer, and explains more than the dress itself. I think the way its showcased in the picture is why I said what I did…seems like the designer was thinking more like me……but you absolutely should accessorize the way you feel is appropriate and more ‘you’…..good luck with your decisions!

Check out http://www.tigerlillyjewelry.com. They have great stuff — and currently have a 50% off sample sale going. I bought a great pearl/crystal necklace and earrings from them today and I’m SO excited to get them! I sound like I’m getting paid to endorse them but I promise I’m not – just love their stuff.
