I'd like to buy my BMs jewelry (earings/necklace) for the wedding. I can't afford to spend more than $40 - $50 per BM. I don't wear jewelry though, and need some help finding something not too expensive that looks great with their dresses.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I love your dresses!  I think a simple diamond or colored pendant would work and could be affordable.

I looked over the weekend and found mostly overly flashy stuff. I'd like something with a little pop, but still subtle and not distracting from the dress.

I would suggest jewelry in gold or brass tones since the dresses are a dark shade.

You can do a subtle necklace, chandelier or dangle drop earrings and a multistrand bracelet. I would suggest earrings and a bracelet for the dresses that have straps.

The stapless one I would suggest a neckace for those bm's.

Were you planning on all matching jewelry? Or picking it out according to personality?

If you need additional suggestions on styles please feel free to contact me.

@di5308: Where have you already been looking?  What type of thing would you consider "too flashy?"  I have some ideas but they all are kind of out of your price range.  I'll do some more thinking/browsing though.

I think you could do cute pendants that also have a little personalization going on.

This one is REALLY cool and kinda artsy! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39751503&ref=sr_list_22&&ga_search_query=initial+heart+necklace&ga_search_type=category&category=jewelry.necklace.charm&ga_page=&min=30&max=40&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title

I got jewelry as a bridesmaid gift last year and it worked well with the dress, but there is absolutely nowhere else I would/could wear it.  A friend of mine gave her bridesmaids monogrammed pendants on silver chains that were gorgeous.  They were simple and looked lovely with their dresses.  My dress when I got "wedding jewelry" looked almost exactly like the first dress and I'd have loved to have had more simple jewelry.  Here's a link to some super-affordable round, engravable pendants.

    I hope this helped.
