I’m currently in a career transition so I got to thinking (aka ruling out) jobs that I would absolutely hate. For me, I don’t really like small children so being a nanny, daycare provider, or kindergarden-2nd grade teacher would be a horrible job for me. I would do it if I had to survive but I most certainly would not enjoy it. I would also not enjoy hard manual labor especially in the summer, but I think that’s a given.
What job/jobs would you HATE doing? Don’t worry, it can be your current job…I won’t tell

Customer service, aka my job 🙁

lol, I’m a PK-3rd grade teacher 🙂 it’s perfect for me because I think kids are awesome.
I would hate to be a lawyer…I hate public speaking and always have a hard time explaining myself. Either that, or any job that involves sitting at a computer in a cubicle all day long.

Lily_of_the_valley: I could never be a nanny either. I didn’t even babysit when I was in highschool. I’m not really into children. LOL.
I also couldn’t be a nail tech, I don’t like touching other people’s feet. But, I give so much props to the ladies who do it.

Lily_of_the_valley: i would hate anything that involved a lot of math. other than that i can work with pretty much anything!

Anything in the food industry, anything that would require working outside the entire shift, and probably customer service.

Hrm – I agree with lawyer and probably anything in sales. I hate when people try to upsell me and when someone says no, I am not going to argue.

mortician, lawyer, nurse (only because they work so damn hard and put up with so much stuff!), sales associate, garbage person, mail carrier, the person who goes around a reads electric meters box, factory worker who only works on one machine, scuba diver instructor, a registrar at a college…
this list could easily go on.

Hmm.. I couldn’t do working with children, old people, or directly with clients/the public.
I think that just about covers it.

I’m okay with my retail job for now; the staff/coworkers are great, and I deal with mostly nice customers. It’s just a job while I’m in school though so I will be glad when I’m gone!
I would dislike working in a grocery store, fast food industry, call center, or a driver (mainly because I’m horrible at it lol).
