@sheepandbear:  Hello from one music teacher to another! What instrument do you play/teach?  I’m wondering if you can keep your full time job within the music field, but I’m realistic – I know it can’t happen for everyone!  Shoot me a PM, let’s chat about possibilities! 🙂

@sheepandbear:  I’m a second grade ELL teacher… before that, I taught preschool. I’m not sure which state you live in, but if you’re interested in staying with teaching you probably need some kind of certication, at least for public- which I’m sure you already know. As far as preschool goes, I hated it for the first year and didn’t mind it during my second year (at a different school). Preschool is hugely different from any other grade. Honestly, I thought it was more like babysitting than teaching. However, I know some people who loved it- just wanted to put that out there so you are aware.

I’m not sure if you’ve considered this, but my cousin is a music therapist and she LOVES her job. She works with kids who have emotional and social needs. You can google “music therapist” for more information. Anyway, good luck !
