Ok! I am getting married in August and had a budget of 500 for my dress. This dress went a bit over (800) but was bought at one of those brides for breast cancer events (it is a new, never worn dress) and was tax-free and for a good cause. I love the simplicity and just kept going back to the dress over and over. I plan to wear a birdcage veil or tulle blusher veil and beautiful sparkly jewelry. I might put a rhinestone brooch at the hip where it gathers. Anyway! It does have somewhat of a chapel train. I’m barefoot in these pics and plan to wear a lowish wedge heel (getting married outside in a hilly environment!). Questions are – what kind of bustle would you do with this dress (or would you do one?). I love the look of the buttons down the back. Does anybody have a similar style dress with pictures of the bustle?
I’m including a front pic just for fun 🙂
Thanks so much!

ooo I dont think I would do a bustle. I had a long train and my seamstress made the bustle so it had a tiny train just like yours once it was bustled.

From the pictures, it doesnt look like theres enough of a train for it to have a bustle. I’m not anywhere near an expert though.

Since the train is only a few inches long, I would do a flip bustle!

@sheepandbear: +1. I just looked at mine, and mine is about the same length when its bustled.

How well can you walk around in it? If you can walk easily, I wouldn’t even worry about bustling. The buttons are beautiful!

Yes – it is really easy to walk around in! I think If I wore 3″ wedges it would be perfect 🙂 I like the buttons too!

It looks like it is short enough that it would not need a bustle!
