I have a 2011 Ford F-150. I love it! But I live in Alaska so a 4×4 is necessary.

NowMrsS:  Okay, I had typed this all out and you deleted the prvious one. Let me try again. LOL!

I love my 2011 Dodge Durango. It is big enough for my family of 6, but Dodge’s are known for being bad on gas. However, since I stay/work from home it is not too bad because I only use it daily to run the kids 5 miles up the road to school and back. Other outings are limited to weekends.

Do you have children? I ask because my SIL had a Ford Escape and my cousin has a KIA (not sure the model) and they are great on gas. Since my cousin only has two kids it works for her. The Escape is no longer big enough for my SIL because they just had their 3rd kid. I would definitely have a smaller SUV if I only had 2 kids. In a few years when there are only a couple still at home I will probably go to something smaller.

NowMrsS:  Okay, I posted my last post and then saw your edit. In your case I would recommend something like a 2 door Tahoe (again if there are no children of your own involved, otherwise a 4 door). Maybe even a Ford Explorer. They will give you the room and should work for driving around in snow and such. Of course the Durango would do so too, but again you have the gas issues.

I have a 2014 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium 4×4. I had a 2001 4Runner before this one and I love/loved both of them. My 2014 4Runner has tons of space and is great off-road. It doesn’t have the best gas mileage but I get about 20 combined city/highway MPG. My daily commute is half city and half highway so that gives you a pretty good idea. The 2nd row seats fold down flat so you can pack a lot of stuff in there. They also recline which is pretty awesome for your back seat riders. I believe it has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs.

NowMrsS:  I used to drive a Chevy Tahoe that I absolutely loved. It had 300k miles on it when I sold it, and truthfully I could have continued to drive it for probably another 100k miles! I bought a Nissan Rogue SL a few years ago, and it gets the job done 🙂 Nissan’s are good, and they hold their value. Although, I do like larger vehicles and the Rogue seems a little small to me at times, but it is pretty low maintenance and very reliable/comfortable for long road trips. The gas mileage is pretty good, although they have come a long way even in the past couple of years when it comes to mileage. Many larger vehicles now get better mileage.

This will probably be my next vehicle as horseback riding has become a huge passion of mine and DH and I have agreed that I can upgrade the Rogue in the next couple of years to something that can haul a trailer. We test drove one a few weeks ago… it was awesome!

I drive a 2013 Subaru Forester, and I love it! We’ve had this one for a year and a half and it’s never needed service, except for oil changes (which are every 7,500 miles with Subarus–awesome). Gas mileage isn’t super, but it’s about what you would expect from an SUV. The newer models are much more eco-friendly, but obviously much more expensive. Plenty of room for hauling stuff, and great in the snow (I live in NW Ohio, so I’ve experienced plenty of it). If you’re looking for a used car, Subarus are a great option. They seriously last forever.

Also, the 4Runner has an optional 3rd row. I didn’t get it because I don’t have kids and don’t need it.

I just bought my first car ever, and I’ve been dreaming of it for 5 years (weird I know) but it’s a 2014 Ford Fiesta hatchback. I love it! When they first came out they were expensive and now they are really reasonably priced. I’ve gone through too many junkers and I just got a good chunk of change so it was a present to myself. I live in Syracuse, NY where all we get is snow storms in the winter so I’ll be investing in snow tires but even that thrills me because all my other cars were crap that werent decent enough to get tires for!

I have a 2012 Volkwagen Jetta and I just love it. In fact, this is my second Jetta! It’s great in snow, it has excellent gas mileage, it’s great quality, and has a little zip to it which is fun! I don’t have kids or dogs, so it works for us for now. However, we’ve been discussing expanding our family so my father in law who works at a Kia dealership made me test drive a Sorento. Honestly I have always kind of stuck my nose up to Kia, but I have to admit… I was very impressed. They have really stepped up their game since I drove one last!

NowMrsS:  Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2013…I friggin love it! I always wanted a Jeep so when it was finally time to trade my Honda in I knew what I wanted. I live in MA where the winters are horrible, but my Jeep is great in the snow. Also I have the option of a hard top or soft top. The hard top is great for winter/fall and right now I have my soft top on nothing beats riding around with the top down. Best car I’ve ever owned. And deffinately the most fun!

I have a 2010 Scion xB and I love it. I’m also a teacher and I love that I can fit so much in a smallish car. I always believed in buying used cars but the price of the new Scion was only a little more than the used ones I looked at.

We have a bunch of older cars, but we are the type of people to only get a new vehicle when our old ones completely crap out.

We have a 2004 neon, and 2001 sebring, & a 2008 pt cruiser.

My work vehicle provided by my company is a 2005 f150.
