I think they are in fact dahlias.  They are in season in June.  Only reason I know is because I had them in bouquet! Otherwise I suck with flower names too!

Actually, I believe they are a type of mum.  I am a florist, (albeit a new one), but I am pretty sure that is what they are.  Possibly “Fuji Mums,” though the exact type is hard to tell from that picture.

They look like white dahlias (because of the greenish center), but if you want to use a flower that is similar and less expensive- You could use football mums.

You’ll still get the full, puffy look for probably 1/3 of the cost!
