We usually prefer a go-go-go vacation, where we cram lots of activities into the trip. I'd assume our honeymoon will be the same. I'm not sure either of us could handle too much relaxing and doing nothing.
I said relaxation but we're also big foodies... we like to experience the cuisine!!!
I just want to relax and lay out in the sun on a nice tropical beach. However, still have the options to do tours, zip-lining,and other fun activities
We're about relaxing above all else, but would also like some shopping and activities like horseback riding, etc.
We were ALL ABOUT the relaxing and pampering. We did a few fun things too, but it was so nice to just relax and spend time together.
We'll probably go sometime this fall, but we're looking for a beach to relax on. Or more that's what I want, he just wants the room to have a jucuzzi.
Up till last week I would have had to say. . . I don't have a clue. . .but we've just decided on our plan, now we need to (eventually) settle on a route.
We're road tripping it. We're not sit on the beach and drink pina colada kinda people. We want to get out and see lots of stuff.
At this point we're going to drive to New Orleans, then take the coastal highways to biloxi and eventually panama city. We figure we'll spend a day on the beach along the way, but that'll be enought for us. From panama we'll head to the smokey mountains before heading home. The current route is 50 hours of driving and we figure we'll take 8 days. That'll give us time to spend more than a night in one or two spots.
Then again in the next year the route may change. Heck it may change while we're driving. But the road trip is for sure. :)
I made sure to keep the planning to a minimum for our honeymoon. I had a couple things scheduled, but the rest of the time was more relaxed and we had the freedom to pick different things based on what the hotel was offering! We honeymooned in Hawaii, which has special meaning to us. We also scheduled a TTD video shoot during our honeymoon, and Hawaii was the perfect setting!
Our minimoon was to a luxe secluded spot. Now our big honeymoon is the traveling couples style. We are exploring Paris and Venice for the first time together.
Like I told my FH (he is picking along with his parents who are footing the bill) anywhere with sun and all inclusive is fine with me :) Relaxation Station!!! along with some omnomnom haha mmm food
We want to veg out on our honeymoon, lol. FI and I did the whole backpacking through Europe thing and it was super fun, but NOT what we're looking for in a honeymoon. We just want to lay around, drink, eat, get massages, take romantic walks, and relax. We're looking into booking a week in Turks and Caicos, yay! :)
We are all about relaxing for our honeymoon. We are going to be heading to St. Augustine for the week, and cannot wait to relax. We're planning on renting bikes and doing some riding around the historic district and also I've planned on surprising Fi with deep sea fishing one day- we love to do it and it'll be his early birthday present.
We're trying to find something with a nice balance of a few of the above options. I really like the beach- but he burns in an instant! He's very into learning about the culture and seeing the sights of the area- which also interests me. We're both into a nice, relaxing hotel, and we LOVE good food. Haha I think we may have trouble finding a place with all of this... ;)
We were all about relaxing somewhere warm and sunny, we liked not having a schedule to follow for a week. :)
We are all about the relaxation on the honeymoon. We figure the wedding will wipe us out pretty hardccore and relaxation will be what we need. However, the resport we're staying at has some great activities to partake in, so if we are relaxed out in a couple days we have some good options.
We want it all! We're doing foodie stuff in wine country/San Francisco, but then becoming big go do it all travelers in San Francisco and San Diego. We're also doing some relaxation while in San Diego too.
We will mostly be relaxing with a little bit of adventuer mixed in! Were going to Couples Jamaica so we will be very relaxe with the options of doing other fun things! We will definitely be doing the Dunns RIver falls tour which is a little more adventurous!
I think I am a mix of three: Relaxation, Beach and Traveling. We've finally booked our full on honeymoon, and that's what we're doing. Some days will sightseeing and the remainder will be relaxation beachside with the option of getting off the hotel grounds if we want to. I need to keep Mr. Swan occupied. He'd go crazy! :)
We will definitely be the "traveling couple." We travelled to Japan and Spain/Portugal the first year we were together, and we've been all over the US and Canada together too. We are going to New Zealand and Fiji for our honeymoon for lots of adventures! We aren't laying on the beach people, we like to explore and see the sights, and get to the road less travelled.
NomNomNom! We're totally going to eat our entire vacation! And probably hang out in a nice condo-thingy that FI stayed in previously.
We want to be able to relax and enjoy our first big trip as a married couple.
RELAX. I think relaxation is crucial for the days spent celebrating your new life as a unified, bonded, marriagified couple, and unwinding from the buildup of anticipation and preparation from the wedding. I tell you though, it took willpower to prioritize the relaxation above the EATING and the SIGHTSEEING in the other options. We love an amazing culinary experience or twelve on our travels, we love exploring a country we've never been to. And while we're at it, we love a good road trip too. But for the honeymoon, we're unwinding on a beach and an overwater bungalow, and only if we get bored will we venture to explore the rest of the (gorgeous) island.
Incidentally, FI has never been on a cruise, so I've suggested that we do an Alaska cruise for our first anniversary trip. It's ridiculously convenient and fairly cheap to do since we already live in Seattle, where all the Alaska cruises depart from. Second anniversary will probably be a return to Europe for some wine and food, I'm thinking France or Italy (for my second time, YUM).
we are seriously the adventure adventure type. We prob wont be sitting around much at all.. I would like maybe to sit around for a day, but I can imagine FH going cmooooooon and were off to the next spot. Which is good, since were heading overseas and FH would like to get his moneys worth lol. So i dont blame him. *shrugs* I just know its going to be fun! I also suggested we could go on a cruise.... FH is leaning towards it, but his main question is, what if we run out of stuff to do?? lol
We don't want to veg out, and we don't want to do anything too strenuous. We're going to Vancouver and have agreed on doing 1 thing per day. We went to Canada last summer so FI could finally see where I'm from, and we packed every single day with activities. It was the best trip ever...but we also literally fell into bed at 830pm every single night snoring - not the kind of romance we want for the moon!! So our honeymoon will be 'doing something in moderation.'
What a cute poll maryjane! :)
We're actually road tripping, cruising and relaxing. We're driving from Chattanooga down to Port Canaveral...and we're doing that at like 4 in the morning the morning after the wedding....then we're getting on a cruise and just relaxing. :)
I think we are a combo of traveling, relax and foodies!!! We are going to Costa Rica so we'll mix in a little adventure with beachy relaxation and stop for some delish local cuisine!! Can't wait!
We are totally Relaxation kind of people. Give me the sun, the sand, a margarita, and a good book for a week straight and I'm one helluva happy camper.
We are the sporting couple. Kayaking, biking and hiking trips were all tossed around. Our B&B bike tour for 5 days and 6 nights was booked tonight! :-) We are biking 25-40 miles/day with some relaxation as well as exploring Vermont and Lake Champlain.
I need all inclusive, sunny, sandy beaches. Gahhh I want that now. Can I take a Pre-Honeymoon?

Just a fun post... What do you want in a honeymoon?
Mr. Mary Jane and I want to relax and have a romantic time, in which we will be pampered. Some activities might be nice, but we don't want to be forced to do anything on a schedule.
