My engagement ring and wedding band (which is in the process of being made) are platinum. We got my husband 2 be a titanium ring, which he really likes, but I am strating to feel that I want to buy him something made from a more precious metal- such as paladium. What is you hubbies ring made from?

DH wanted a tungsten ring. He didn’t care at all about how precious the metal was, he just wanted something that would last and was inexpensive.

My fiance and I are planning on very simple yellow gold bands in either 14 or 18 carat gold. I think that the most important factors in selecting the metal for your ring is what you both like and also keeping in mind what your daily activities are. If your fiance does lots of athletic stuff or works with his hands, he would need a ring that could take more punishment than if your fiance worked in an office. Perhaps think about how rough his daily life would be on the ring and take it from there 🙂

this is what I got my FI :)well, he picked it out- its titanium like I said- I am a bit afraid of the whole- your need to cut a finger off to remove titinium rings- but he is an engineer (office job), so I guess its okey….

FI wanted yellow gold and wouldn’t even consider anything else. The ring we got is 14k.

FI originally thought he wanted tungsten but he ended up choosing white gold.

DH wanted us to have matching metals and wanted something simple and classic so I got him a 5mm milgrain band in platinum. I ordered it on Blue Nile and hfe was really pleased with it. I think it just depends on what your man likes.

I’ve got a platinum and diamond wedding band and he has a much heavier palladium band. He has a titanium and diamond engagement ring which he’ll wear for travel after the wedding (I have a matching one and a cheap silver CZ one).

We have perfectly matching milgrain edge platinum bands. His is 5 mm mine 4 mm. Maybe you can set up a poll? Would be fun to see the results visually.

My husband wanted a white gold band, but we thought about getting him a second ring made of more durable cobalt to wear to work. He does a lot of stuff with his hands so we weren’t sure if white gold would get scratched too easily…so far it has held up though!

Plain ol’ 14kt Yellow Gold 😀 I believe we got him a 7mm band. This is our class rings with our wedding bands (Hubby Left, me right)
