Tungsten carbide.  He liked the darker color and the price totally sealed the deal.  6mm, size 8, from overstock.com for around 50.

I have 14k white gold and my hubby has polished tungsten carbide.  It is super durable and shiney.  He is very happy with it.

Well, none any more, it doesn’t fit him but he had a stainless steele ring.  I am shopping for options right now.  I may get him several then he can wear which ever he wants.

My FI is thinking of a ring with mid-sized diamonds in the design. We’re still figuring out exactly how it should look. It will be a precious metal for sure. We want it to look manly and classy. He’s a guy who can appreciate diamonds so it’d be nice if his ring had some nice ones for him to enjoy.

Check out Cartier mens’ bands for inspiration on using small diamonds in mens’ bands :)

Oops, my husband has corrected me. It’s a frosted finish. This is a photo of his actual ring.

His ring is titanium and mine are platinum.  He kept going back to this ring so we knew it was the one.

a tungsten carbide ring from overstock for 55 bucks. Seemed silly to spend any more than that, because he could really care less – just wanted something around his finger.  Its scratch resistant, doesn’t tarnish or bend, and if he loses it  – its 55 bucks :P

Tungsten. It’s a comfort fit and a very dark, almost black.  He LOVES it because he didn’t think there many choices beyond yellow gold.  He’s not too fashion-forward:). But once he saw it, he knew it was the one for him.

Plus, he works with his hands so he needed something that would not get scratched.  I like the Cobalt too and would love to buy a dressier ring for him but he says he likes the one he has.  Frankly, I don’t know how he can live with only one ring.

Impossible to imagine.  Like having only one pair of shoes:)
