First, that dress is STUNNING!
As far as Veils go, I think your consultant is right that you should not have too much going on, but I would say maybe shorter than chapel length? I would hate to have any of that back covered up! I really like what the model did with the flower/fascinator idea.
OR
If you really want some kind of veil, I think a bird cage would tie in nicely with the old Hollywood glamor of this dress.
Good luck! and let us know what you go with!
woOw this dress is so sexy and romantic... how traditional do you want your ceremony? do you WANT a blusher? I would have recommended something very simple as well and you must keep length on the veil to softly flow down the back of this dress. If you had any edging at all on the veil i would suggest maybe very thin piping or ivory lace, but going with a very simple and glamours one layer sheer would be gorgeous, you cant go wrong. I LOVE YOUR DRESS! LOL
I agree with PP but also think you should try a birdcage veil in tulle. It would go perfectly.
LOVE that dress!!!! And I agree with your consultant :)
I absolutely agree with the other ladies. I was envisioning a mantilla veil for myself, but I also purchased a lacey dress. I ended up choosing a very simple fingertip length veil with a thin white piping on the edges. Simple is better with such a gorgeous and detailed gown!
my dress is similar to yours, its so vintage, sexy, beautiful! I am going with a birdcage veil, I think it really pulls it all together <3
I never even thought of a birdcage...see, this is why I post on here! You ladies have such great ideas! I showed my fiance photos online of the chapel veils I was liking, as well as the birdcage, and he voted for the birdcage too. My mom was a little hesitant, she wanted me to stay with a traditional long chapel veil, but she also came around. Birdcage it is! I bought one from another Bee on here from the classifieds for $10 :)
I think a long cathedral veil would be pretty freaking sexy. Seeing your back through the veil- of course take it off for the reception. I love the dress.
girl, no matter what you will look STUNNING! dont worry your pretty little head on what will be on it. birdcage is perfect for this look! after it was suggested I thought DUH! cant wait for pics
where did you find this dress... I have looked all over for bouquet and no luck so far...
I think you should stay simple but that doesn't mean you can't do a little hair accessory too. a birdcage in tulle or single layer veil of anylength would be lovely. really though, it is your day and i think that if you want to go big and glam then do it.
the dress is to die for!!! and i am hard to please!

Yay, I just bought my dress over the weekend!
It's the "Bouquet" dress by Amy Michelson. It's a slim fitting dress, sweetheart neckline with spaghetti straps, and plunging lace-up back. The color is champagne charmeuse with ivory lace overlay. Weeeee I love it!
The consultant at the bridal salon recommended a single layer ivory chapel length veil, very simple with no edging or embellishments, and no blusher. Very soft and wispy, no poof. She said she preferred this type of veil so as not to take away from the details and intricacies of the dress. I think I agree with her...but I wanted to hear some of your opinions. I don't know much about veils, so any info is good. Thanks!
