@helpmeimpoor:  I’m in the same boat. Ruffle skirt and I really want a long (plain) veil. I tried on a finger-tip length veil and EVERYONE prefered it over the long, because it hit right at the top of the skirt. I still have a vision of a long veil coming down the asile. Not really sure what I’ll end up with and probably didn’t help you much, but I wanted to follow this thread 🙂

Go with what YOU love! I think your skirt is simple ruffles and a long veil would be just fine! Mine is a bit more crazy and the long veil may be too much. Good luck!

@helpmeimpoor:  Beautiful dress. My ruffled organza skirt is what I wanted to be the focal point and I think the train on it is great. I chose a finger-tip length veil with a thin satin ribbon on the edge.

My dress has a ruffled skirt as well. I went with a plain rolled edge veil, im not sure what the length is called but im 5’9 and it goes to just above my behind

@helpmeimpoor:  it really depends….my dress is really similar (MS Divina) and i chose a cathedral length. I wasnted the more dramatic look because my dress is dramatic, and so is my arrival…I will be stepping off of a horse and carriage (I am so happy about that! It was a must for me) and I feel that the cathedral length matches the overall mood of the ceremony/event! You should go n a try some on with your dress. I was initially leaning towards a veil that was fingertip or elbow length, but decided on a cathedral.

I could also use advice on this! photos would be so helpful from any bees who have tried on this type of dress with veils

@helpmeimpoor:  this is the veil I purchased. It has crystals all over but I don’t think they detract from the dress *i hope*.

All my friends too voted for fingertip because of where it hit the top of the ruffles but I just love the overall look of cathedral veils.

helpmeimpoor:  I am wearing mori lee 1606 for my wedding, and also had a hard time picking a veil. I ended up going with a plain, skinny cathedral veil I ordered on eBay for $10. I also had a hard time justifying spending hundreds on a bedazzled veil… I love the softness this veil has, and it doesn’t take away from the dress.
