it's gorgeous! but a very tricky shape for a band...
is it raised at all that a band might slide under it?

It is raised, but a band wouldn't fir snugly beside it which would drive me nuts lol!
I thought about a cross-over band at the top but i'm unsure if it would look silly!

Congrats on your beautiful new ring and welcome to the bee! I would go and see a jeweler about a custom band or wear your band on the left and e-ring on the right.
Maybe a chevron band? Your ring has a marquise shape to it, you could get an enhancer meant to go with a marquise solitaire.
Lovely ring :) I think an enhancer would look good, if you dont need it to look like 2 seperate rings. If you really want the look of an engagement ring + wedding band, I think it would be a good idea to go consult with a jeweler. Congratulations by the way !

Hi all :)
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice. I got a fantasic new engagement ring for christmas (as my older one no longer fits me ) But it's a bit of an odd shape!
What kind of wedding band would you get to go with this ring?
