I kinda think most of my wedding was a bargain lol

cake $400 (custom made by a friend I went to high school with)

DJ $600 (unlimited time, uplighting, insured, etc – friend of a friend)

invitations $250ish (custom made by my BM who is a graphic designer)

Dress $600 (local shop) & alterations were $75 (done by a friend of the family)

shoes $35 (sparkly sandals from Aerosles.com)

flowers under $200 (silk from the bridesbouquet.com)

ceremony space $350 (an old theater run by a non-profit organization)

officiant $100 (a local mayor – the funds go to the animal shelter she founded)

alcohol (about) $1000 since we could bring our own to the hall

food (about ) $6K for 200 people (local caterer that makes home made Italian food)

I won’t go into all the details but believe me that EVERYTHING is negotiable and never accept the initial price. Every vendor I worked with was more than willing to customize a package to work within a set budget.
