I’m just curious what made you pick your date? Convenience? Sentemental reasons? Venue availabilty?
I chose mine because it’s the summertime (my favorite!), and the venue was available on few dates, so I chose one that was before my 30th B-day 🙂

- Wedding: March 2010 - Calamigos Ranch
We picked our date because it was the first day of spring break and I wanted a full week for the honeymoon! 😉
Later, we came up with other reasons, like that it was the first day of spring/Persian new year. But really, it was for the week off!

My date isn’t written in stone yet, but I chose the particular date of October 13, 2012 for these reasons:
- October is a beautiful time of the year. It’s not hot, it’s not cold. Weather is usually perfect here in New Jersey.
- The 13th because it’s J’s lucky number.
- 2012 is still a bit away and it gives us plenty of time to save and plan. 🙂

It’s the 3rd date we picked.
The first was June 4, but the reception venue we wanted was booked.
The second was May 14 (and we were able to book the reception), and that one lasted a while. Until MOH found out her college graduation was that day, 4 hours away. The only people I really actually want at my wedding are my mom, MOH, and FI.
So we called reception venue and the only reasonable open date was July 2. Bada Bing Bada Boom– July 2 it is.

Our birthdays are 2-7-77 and 5-7-77 so we chose 7-7-12. Keeping it all on the 7’s!

I wanted to get married after I finished graduating from college, so summer was the obvious choice! I wanted to have a little bit of time to finish up preparations after college was over, but I wanted to have plenty of time with my hubby in the summer before he had to go back to work (he’s a teacher). So June 25th was a good choice.

We picked August 4th because we wanted a summer wedding and our dating anniversary is November 4th…so we thought it would be neat to keep with the #4. Also, my parents anniversary is August 6th..so that was kind of a sentimental reason too 🙂

It’s our dating anniversary!! After exactly 9 years of dating, we’ll be married.

It was the closet to our 2 yr anniversary and was just far enough away that we could save some money and pay for it ourselves!

I wanted an off season wedding to save $, but near the actual season so we could hope for great weather, I didnt want to wait too long and this day was available.

Ours because of certain family members leaving the country for a month when we originally stated to look. It so happened the reception hall and church had the same day open and its before the certain family members leave on their trip.

We originally wanted to get married on June 11th. Then my parents booked a cruise and they would be coming back that day so that didn’t work. We had to decide between May 29th and June 19th because those were the other days in the time frame that we were looking for that our venue was available. May 29th seemed too soon and sent me into panic attacks so we chose June 19th.
Since then we’ve realized that it’s father’s day, FI’s stepdad’s birthday and my nephew’s birthday but oh well!!

We had originally chosen 9/10/11, and that date was available for our venue of choice; however, the cost was prohibitive, so we decided to rethink things and ended up choosing 3/31/11 because it is on the last day of their off season, so it is less expensive. It is also a full house, so it is lucky. It adds up to the number 9 (3+3+1+1+1= 9) which is divisible by 3; both of which are my lucky numbers. And, it is 9 days after my birthday and 9 days before my FI’s birthday.

We met and fell in love in October. It is always a cozy and good-feeling sorta month and time of year for us. The weather in Northern Cali is particularly gorgeous then, and we wanted something early in the month before any threat of rain. Oct. 2nd is a Sunday, so that saves a bit of money with vendors. It’ll give our out of town guests a chance to enjoy their surroundings the week before and then celebrate the wedding with us.

We choose ours because it is the first weekend after Memorial Day Weekend (read: the start of the non-touristy part of the year and thus cheaper) and it is early enough in June that *hopefully* we won’t have to worry about hurricanes! (Crossing my fingers!)
