Let’s get some positive vibes going!
I chose a bad moment to start dieting again (in the middle of exams… what was I thinking), and had a miserable week, but the first few pounds have come off and it was all worth it! Feeling great!

I’ve been working out and dieting for since the beginning of this month, and yesterday when I was walking around the house I put my hand on my hip and felt not only my hip bone–I haven’t felt it that clearly in a while!–but also how much tighter my waist is! It was a very proud moment to feel my own body changing. 🙂

@perlerose: Great idea for a thread!
Well, I’m not a morning person and my first class started at 8 am today. I love the class, but it’s hard for me to wake up so early. So, I go to my SO’s house to take a nap after class and I see a note posted on the TV: “Good morning baby, breakfast is in the oven.” He’s so sweet! It definitely made me feel good 🙂

@perlerose: I love this tread already. My family and I often have breakfast together on a Saturday, and a tradition of ours is that we all go around the table and say the best and worst bit of the week. Having 2 best bits are allowed, but not 2 worst! 🙂
The best part of my week so far was having dinner with my mum Tuesday, we had a lovely catch up, and some much needed mother-daughter time 🙂

what felt good this week?
only smoking 1 and a half cigs. and not a single drink. i drank last thur (enchilada cook off) fri (went to a friends and edited wedding photos) sat ( chirstmas party that turned into kareoke) so yeah i felt super crap stastic on sunday and was like why??!!! so ive decided to def lay low for like ever (thats how i feel) been keeping up on my 1200 calorie diet, drinking tea, taking vitimins, ran 3 miles, did bodypump, rpm class and tonight im going to open volleyball. so this has all made me feel better. but i still feel guilty for smoking those 1.5 cigs this week.

One of my best friends texted me to let me know she’s booked her flight to come visit in April and can’t wait to go dress shopping. I’m so happy that we’ll get to share this!

@Sparkidoodle: That is an amazing family tradition and I would love to start something like that! It makes such a difference when you just actively think about and remember those small moments that make you feel good!
@perlerose: I’ve been counting calories as well as starting up Couch to 5 K and Strong Lifts. I’ve also joined a Zumba class, which is way more fun than I thought it would be! 🙂

- Wedding: August 2013 - Wynn Las Vegas
As of yesterday I have officially lost 10 lbs since the start of my diet (before the holidays, so I had to work extra hard after that). I feel fab!!!

I went to see a doctor of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and she gave me a new baby-making plan! I’m now “drugged” up on 5 new vitamins and a new diet…crossing my fingers!

@perlerose: I decided to try Crossfit this week. I was soooo nervous for the first class, but went anyway. My husband sent me a message on my way there that said, “Good luck! You’re gonna do great. I’m proud of you for doing something that scares you. You’re my inspiration.” Made me feel really good!!
Also had a great workout followed by a nice slow burn yoga class. Felt so nice to stretch after killing myself with weights. 🙂

This email from my dad I received after letting he and my mom know how grateful we are that they are doing so much for us (wedding)

I go back to university in a month and I have bought lots of new clothes that I think will actually look good on me and I love! So hopefully that will give me confidence and motivation to actually study this semester as well 🙂

i just started a new job! i am a substitute for a local school district and got a phone call yesterday from HR offering me a position as an instructional assistant. i started today and am already loving it. the even better part is that my principal has two teacher openings in the fall and i’m hoping she will consider me!
