This is a stress-relieving no drama thread :)

Have a Blessed Christmas everyone!

I've been smiling since I woke!
It's the first day of Winter Break, so I was able to sleep late, watch "trash" tv, play online, and wrap presents. Plus, Christmas is just a day and a half away! YAY!
P.S. The lab or retriever puppies are sooooooooo adorable!!!
Aw, I love a nice post! This happened yesterday (but still counts!) - I sold a piece of art- to the Dean of Students for her office. I feel honored, proud, and really grateful about it. I am just emerging as a full time professional artist, so this is huge for me.
Getting a text from my fiance this morning about how he was going to a shop party for one of the suppliers he works with...and bringing the dog.
My one year old daughter and four year old son were sharing their lunch with eachother, complete with "pleases" and "thank yous" I almost teared up watching my one year old reach her chubby hand to give my son a piece of cheese string. Seriously, nothing makes my day like my two kiddos getting along and playing together. Also, my SO is coming home from work tomorrow and we are all so excited to see him! I'm just all around giddy!
My FI and I had a super silly facebook back and forth about Kenny Loggins, and I know everyone else will just look at it like HUH?!?!?! but we were cracking up!
Okay...I gotta share a comment my cousin's daughter made on her FB page just the other day. She said, while at church the priest said after the gospel, "From the book of Matthew" and her 3 yr. old daughter asked, "Dave Matthews?". Isn't that the cutest thing?!?!
I woke up to paper crunching and when I walked into the living room I found this!
My little girl had gotten into her Christmas present! I don't know what was better her suddenly stopping when she saw me or the fact that she stood there "guarding" her present!
I went through my entire dresser and - like any fat girl - have a drawer that is filled with clothes with tags still on them because "one day, maybe, I'll lose the weight & fit into it."
Today was that day.
I never thought it would happen. I nearly cried.
@loveyou: Ummm for a second I thought your cat's head was on fire, LOL! That's the remnants of Nyquil right there.... Anywho, my cat totally tried to get into her Christmas presents too!!! Little turkey! I had the bag from PetSmart out while I was doing the wrapping, I hear this "crinkle crinkle" and I look over, she's 3/4 in the bag having a grand old time seeing what's new to play with!
@loveyou:Ha ha, she looks guilty as charged!
@bebefly:Congrats, way to go!!!
Oooh I thought of one. So I went to the grocery store today. It was sheer mayhem, not enjoyable. But then I went to Zellers after to pick up a hat and scarf for my grandma and it was SO calm and quiet, it was lovely! The whole store was just this moment of zen in the midst of all the Christmas hectic-ness, it made me smile to just have a civil shopping experience!
There's also two straight hours of Friends on right now. That makes me very happy :)
@bakerella - OMG! I didn't even realize but it does look like she's on fire, lol! It's a light up rudolph behind her :)
At first I couldn't figure out how she knew it was HER present, than I realized, its the cat-nip, I'm surprised it lasted until this morning, cats are too sneaky!
@bebefly:That's AWESOME!
Seeing that our photog posted a sneak peek to our e-pics we took a week and a half ago! It makes me even more anxious for the rest!
I'm a sucker for baby animals. Here are some photos that always make me smile.

And then there are always fat cats to make you smile. lol.

@KLP2010: Congrats! I still have to sell my last remaining dress, hoping I'll have more luck after the holidays.
@mrs.peters.to.be: Very cute, thanks for posting those! I'm trying to stay clear of the drama threads and just look at happy things. My life's pretty depressing due to health and work issues right now, not much to smile about :(
so nice to hear everyone's stories! congrats on the job, kids being nice to each other, good shopping experience, fat cats, and so on.
my smiley moment came in the lobby of our office building where there's a music trio playing holiday music. a little girl was absolutely mesmerized by them and was shaking a ring of bells.
I got to work in 30 minutes, instead of an HOUR and 30 minutes today! If I can stop thinking about how it's because no one's on the road because everyone but me is on vacation, it makes me smile. ;)
saw a cute boxer dog in my lobby wearing a christmas sweater :D
and my dad called me to see if he should get my mom a pandora bracelet to match me and my sisters- so cute!
@spaniel: I hear ya! 90 min, ouch, from where to where do you commute? Wasn't it also nice that we finally have a dry day today?
@meliss: From Pasadena to Westwood. It's pretty brutal. So glad it was clear today, both on the roads and in the sky! ;)
@farmersgirl: OMG adorable!!
I smiled today because we got let out of work 2 hours early and we found out we are getting let out 2 hours early next THursday too!!
@spaniel: We should switch jobs :) I live in Brentwood and work in Calabasas, but have the option of working in Pasadena as we have an office there.
When I got home my husband came right up to me with a big hug and long kiss that makes your knees buckle and said you are the most beautiful woman in the world.
Other than from the cute animals, I also smiled today because my boss unexpectedly gave me a Starbucks gift card for Christmas :).
Seeing my husband all snuggled up in bed and the grin on his face as I kissed him goodbye on my way to work
My almost 4 year old spelling the word P-O-T on his magnadoodle, and proudly explaining it to me :) They grow up soo fast :(
I have so many things that bring a smile to my face on a daily basis...seriously!
Today I was smiling because I remembered that this regular customer always calls me sunshine when I say hello to her.
I'm also thinking about how much I'm excited for my FI to open his presents.
Someone told me she was reallly happy I've been saying "Merry Christmas" to customers today lol
Frosting cookies with my kids. Our littlest one had frosting all over himself and ate more cookies than he frosted!
Just ate one of these. It made my belly smile & my sore throat happy. :)

FI woke me up, then went into the other room and brought my bird (who he "hates") to hang out in bed with me. Too cute!
