I saw this post that I really liked [ http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/how-much-makeup-do-you-wear ], but I just don't have the patience to read so many responses! So I did a take-off, and created a poll :)
On a daily basis, I wear a lot of different products (just not very heavy). I can't go a day without: eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, foundation, powder, and blush. Plus, of course, my trusty chapstick. (but never ever lipgloss!)
What do you wear??

For my lazy make-up days I use powder, bronzer as a blush, and mascara. If I'm jazzing things up I add eye liner and eye shadow. I keep things pretty natural, so I'm fairly low maintenance.
@discodance: So jealous! I wish I had clear skin and could survive on just powder! Way to insecure for that.
Could you please add a "just moisturizer" "chapstick" or "other" category? I'm in one of those.
I love makeup! My normal look for the day is eyeshadow primer, face primer, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, foundation, powder, and 2 types of blush. It is a lot. On days that I'm running late, I'll skip the eyeshadow or just sweep 1 light color over my lid instead of using different shades and creating a light smokey eye which is my usual work.
I prefer high end makeup, but recently I've been using some budget friendly options. My last foundation was so thick I just couldn't use it anymore, it felt gross on my face. It was from MAC. I went out and bought a revlon foundation because i just wasted $40 on MAC and couldn't really justify spending another $40 on foundation. The revlon works great, but I'll definitely go back to Sephora for a new type once its finished. I also will get some mascara to test from the drugstore and for everyday use but I use high end brands for special occasions. I never use eye shadows from the drugstore though. The color payoff just isn't the same and it doesn't last as long. Same with lipstick and blush.
First I use moisturizer, then either mineral or sheer liquid foundation, sheer powder, tiny bit of blush, eyeliner, neutral eye shadow, light brow pencil, mascara, and chapstick or lip gloss.
I like a natural look so I use neutral colors and light quantities. I usually get my cosmetic items at Ulta so I voted drugstore. I also like Clinique products.
i LOVE makeup! I work in a medical office so I don't get the chance (or time) to go all out. I usually use a powder foundation, blush, and mascara (sometimes). On the weekends I definitely use my primers/contouring/eye shadow. I love playing with it!
I don't wear make up. At all. I never learned how to put it on. When I dress up, I put on a little eyeshadow, mascara and blush, but that's about it.
I'm SUPER excited for my wedding because not only have I never seen how well I can clean up, but neither has my fiance! I have good skin and I'm not a hideous she-beast without akeup, so I'm hoping I can look incredible with the right tools!
i normally just wear mascara, a little cover-up, a little eye liner, and chapstick. if i'm going somewhere nicer though i will throw on some powder, eye shadow, and blush. most of the time it doesn't even look like i'm wearing makeup (i'm definitely not good at putting it on!)
If I'm staying home or only going to fiances place then it's oil free moisturizer (seriously, my skin sucks), concealer, and powder. The concealer is actually leg and body cover by dermablend, but it works and blends so much better than anything else, even their face concealer. Plus it doesn't come off easily :D
I use lip gloss like chapstick, so it might show up on an inside day.
If I'm going out it's all of that, plus eyeliner, eyeshadow, bronzer, blush, and at least lipgloss and sometimes lipstick. Mascara is used if it's kind of a special occasion, but not always because it can irritate my eyes.
No foundation. I don't see the point in it. It just makes everything look cakey and settles into lines. I had a "professional" makeup arist do my face for free at a trunk show with MAC products, and like there suddenly appeared lines under my eyes and around my mouth where there never were any before! Plus I could just see all the makeup all over my face. Foundation sucks!
@MrsFutureG: I bet you'll look amazing! Maybe your make-up artist (or friend!) can teach you how to wear it daily if you're interested.
@yanamari: Mascara isn't my favorite, it usually burns a little. I started using Physician's Formula Organic Mascara. It wears off easily, and if you cry your eyes sting a tiny bit, but aside from that it works wonders. It doesn't bother me at all!!
Some makeup I get from the drugstore, some I get from Macy's and Sephora, and some I order from Mary Kay.
If I wear any makeup on a regular day, it's usually only eyeliner and mascara. I will add foundation, blush, lip gloss, and maybe eyeshadow if I'm going out.
My must haves are foundation (which also acts as my concealer for terrible days), powder, mascara for my freakishly blonde eye lashes that don't exist without mascara despite how long they are, and eyeliner. Chapstick is also a must. Most days I use a brow pencil too, again because of the blondness, but not everyday because I'm lazy like that. It's not unusual for me to wear blush and eyeshadow but I tend to go without.
I don't walk out the door without tinted moisturizer, clear brow gel, and clear lip gloss.
For the office I add concealer and mascara, and sometimes eye shadow and blush. On dress-up days I add lipstick.
I did a poll exactly like this a couple months ago. I found it interesting that more people use eyeliner than shadow.
I always wear: Foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, a light lipstick (that usually fades off fairly quickly)
Daily at work (office) I wear: Foundation, powder, cover up (if needed), blush, a light lipstick, eyeshadow, mascara.
Occasionally I also add: eyeliner, a slightly bolder lipstick
I only buy drugstore brands.
I'm pretty minimal, only takes me about 5 minutes every morning. Tinted moisturizer, foundation, eyeliner, and mascara. That's it. When I'm feeling fancy or we're going somehwere nice, I'll play with eyeshadow, but I don't think I've ever worn it to work. I haven't owned blush or lipstick in about 10 years. :/
After I wash and moisturize my face:
- mineral foundation (Bare Minerals)
- cream liner (ELF)
- mascara (Covergirl)
- mineral shadow (ELF)
- blush (ELF)

Believe me, I don't have good skin, and could really use wearing foundation/concealer/blush/powder and maybe some mascara every day, but I just can't be bothered. I work at a software company and only see my coworkers every day (we don't have any public/walk in traffic) and I really don't give enough of a crap to put on make up every morning.
The closest I get to make up on a daily basis is my Burts Bees original lip balm.
I have to wear mascara and pencil my eyebrows in i'm ginger and my eyelashes and eyebrows are transparent haha! but i wear foundation concealer eyeshadow eyebrw pencil mascara eye liner and lip liner and gloss everyday! i have blotchy skin too so i love my foundation!
I don't wear makeup on a daily (or weekly...) basis but most of my makeup is department store.
I buy mascara at Target because those commercials are really enticing and I have to go buy the new cat eye one like right away.
I wear absolutely nothing on my face. It's probably only acceptable right now because I'm still in college and I have a job where makeup is impractical.
I used to only wear foundation (I have really uneven skin and occasional break-outs), mascara (I have blonde eyelashes), and chaptick BUT ever since I bought the UD Naked palette, I've been obsessed and wear it everyday! Unless I'm going out I don't go crazy with the eyeshadow and the palette is neutral colors so it's ok for work. Here's what I normally wear now. I never used to wear blush but now I love it.
Foundation (EL Double Wear)
Finishing powder (Rimmel Stay Matte)
Blush (Clinique)
Eye primer (UD Primer Potion)

Sounds like a lot but it really isn't. It takes me about 5-10 minutes max to do my makeup for everyday :)
@housebee: +1 I am a blistex and Neutragena only girl on a daily basis.
I wear concealer, dab of bb cream, powder to set, bronzer, a little bit of blush, eyeshadow and mascara after curling my lashes. All of you that look cute wearing no makeup at all, I'm jealous.
Ahhh...I wear nothing every day as well! I'm just too lazy to put in the effort in the mornings and I don't feel I have to do it. I have good skin and I don't work with the public or with clients in person. Just my coworkers!
However, if I wanted to do minimal makeup I would just do a primer, foundation, powder, eyeliner, and mascara. Maybe some blush
I buy most of mine at Sephora or a department store. I use mostly bare minerals and Tarte for most of my stuff. But I do have other brands!
Can't stand feeling like I'm wearing a mask over my face, so I hate foundation. (Plus I like my freckles to show.) I have friends who rave about how "light" Bare Minerals feels, but it feels so cakey and heavy to me!
Daily, I wear concealer, powder to seal it, blush, pencil eyeliner, brow liner, and chapstick. I sometimes add mascara, but I already have dark lashes and it can irritate my eyes, so it's not an everyday essential.
I buy products at all price levels depending on whether I think it's worth it. I like my drugstore powder and concealer better than high-end versions I've tried, but I hatehatehate most drugstore mascaras.
@OnceUponATime: Same! I wear the same exact combination. Some days I'll leave the house without liner to mix it up, but I pretty much always wear shadow, mascara, foundation, powder, and blush. I keep the lip simple though with chapstick.
Neutral eyeshadow, a little liner, mascara and some blush if I'm looking pale.
If I don't leave the house, I don't wear anything. When I go out, it depends where and how long I'll be out for. If I'm just running to the grocery store, I'll wear concealer, powder, and mascara, sometimes lip gloss or chapstick. If I'm going out for the day I'll throw on some eyeshadow and blush too. I've been getting nice makeup for the last year or so (Urban Decay, Smashbox, Stila, Cargo, Benefit) but I still use some drugstore brands for some stuff.
I have a very serious love for makeup. I wear a lot of product, but I don't think I look overly made-up. I usually wear the following.
- Victoria's Secret redness correcting face primer
- Revlon Color Stay foundation
- ELF concealer
- Maybelline powder
- Victorias Secret bronzer
- ULTA blush: usually two shades, one on my cheekbones and another on the apples
- eyeshadow
- liquid eyeliner
- powder for my eyebrows
- eyebrow setting gel
- highligh above my cheekbones, tear ducts, and under my eyebrows

How about an option of: I'm lucky if I put chapstick on once a day? I don't wear makeup...
None. I very rarely wear makeup. I just posted on another thread about needing a personal dresser - maybe I just need Stacy and Clinton.
I really ENJOY applying makeup. I like to try all different products & applications. Most days, I wear foundation (I like Revlon Colorstay Whipped), Powder (I like L'Oreal or Milani), bronzer (ELF or Physician's formula), blush, eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara, brow liner & lip gloss or lipstick. I generally buy from the drugstore, though I do own some high end products. I usually read reviews on products before buying, so I've had really good luck with stuff from the drugstore.
I love my under eye conclear, powder, mascara and blush. I only buy MAC makeup and use clinque for skin care (face wash, creams, toner)
I didn't put that I wear foundation, but I wear a tinted BB Cream Moisturizer... kind of the same, but not...

I wear a green tinted moisturizer (I have redness issues and it cools down my slightly orangey skin so I look very snow white), black liquid eyeliner, and black mascara. That's my daily thing.
If I want to go out I put on some glimmery foundation and eyeshadow and maybe some lip gloss.
If I'm home I wear nothing (not working right now). I only wear make up to go to my in laws for dinner and on Saturday which is date night. When I do I wear:
-Mac paint pot
-Lancome or MAC shadow
-Mac fluid line
-Used to wear MAC mascara but a make up artist introduced me to Loreal I think?
-Lancome eye pencil
-Mac dazzle gloss
-No foundation or blush, they make me break out
-I just bought a really pretty MAC duo in gold/green for the holidays. I will probably only use it a few times.
