Hello bees. I’m proposing this Sunday morning – everything is in place, ring box shaped like a macaroon, girlfriend is definately not working Sunday morning, blessings have been had and now it’s happening. i’m planning on waking her up with a special breakfast of bellinis, caviar, creme fraiche and salmon. We are major foodies so I know she’ll apreciate this. There will be a little plate with macaroons on the side with one of them being the macaroon ring box. Our first dates were in bakeries and pattiseries across London, so again the reference to sweets and cakes is special to us. Can you think of any special little touches to make the breakfast special? Should I write a card? What about a drink? It’ll be morning so not sure she’ll want a glass of champagne so can you think of a special drink we could have to celebrate? I was thinking maybe a pink lemonade…. She doesn’t like fresh orange. Any ideas, greatly recieved.

Home made lemonade would be a good idea 🙂 Also maybe have a speech prepared to say 🙂 Maybe have her favourite flowers or something as well

It sounds like this is coming from the heart, and is absolutely PERFECT and SPECIAL. Good luck, and good work 🙂

Flowers! And champagne is a must, of course! Maybe some music too.

try making mimosas with lemonade rather than orange juice? Definitely a little card 🙂 Good luck, so excited for you!!

That sounds like such an amazing proposal! I like the lemonade idea 🙂

Oh, how sweet. The food sounds amazing. I thinks champagne for after and maybe some chocolate covered strawberries to enjoy with the champagne. And I think it would be so sweet to personally tell her how you feel about her and why you love her so, with the proposal. Even if you have to write it out and read it to her. To hear it coming from you would be so endearing. And that is what would make it the most memorable to me. Good luck!!

@anahappilyeverafter: What about something special to add to her coffee, e.g., whiskey or bailey’s and whipped cream? I also agree with PP and think a note would add something cute!! GOOD LUCK. Come back and update us! Also, I read your other post about the health scare. Is everything ok there? :-/

That sounds like such a cute, low-key proposal idea already, but I second PPs on the mimosas. There is NOTHING that can’t be made better with a mimosa.

Bellinis!!! They are soooooo good! Also, if you have any close friends or family locally you could plan to meet them for lunch or dinner somewhere to share the news- after you two have had a chance to be alone for awhile. Good luck!

@wrkbrk: I will definately come back and update. I’m not sure about my health yet – I have my scans and tests on Wednesday this week and am meant to be finding out my results the same day. Trying to stay distracted and not think about it even though it’s hard.

sounds perfect! cant wait for the update once you’ve proposed!
Hope your tests all turn out okay. I’ve been thiking about you and wondering what was going on there.

proposal with breakfast served in bed? Can I say yes? 😛
I don’t think it gets any more special than that!

@MrsWBS: I appreciate your thoughts. Best case scenario it comes back benign and I’m engaged before Xmas so free and healthy to enjoy Christmas with family and start planning that wedding!
