Good prices. Sometime I found things that I love but the prices are just unreasonable so I don’t buy.

Can you post your shop so we can critique it?

Good:

Good pictures with good lighting, same clean background, and multiple angle shots.

Good descriptions. I don’t always read them but stores with one or two lines make me think that the owner doesn’t really pay attention to the details.

Quick response time w/ emails.

Don’t feel bad… I had an etsy shop for 6 months and didn’t sell anything!

I like it when the pictures are clear and you see the item from multiple angles, and when the description clearly tells you things like the size and what it’s made out of.  I think it’s really important to keep you descriptors specific enough so that your items will stay close to the front page for awhile.  “Earrings” fall from the front page of the search for “earrings” almost immediately, for example.

I just let the listings expire.  I wasn’t really trying to have a business or anything, I was just making too much stuff (jewelry) and didn’t know what to do with it all, so someone suggest I make an etsy shop.  By now there have been enough birthdays and stuff that I’ve given most of it away… plus I’m not making so much any more because I’m busy doing DIY projects for the wedding Smile

I’d love to take a look too ๐Ÿ™‚ can you PM me?

ETA: Its kind of a catch-22, but I usually prefer shops with a lot of positive feedback – otherwise I’m terrified to order anything! Also, while browsing I always prefer shops with LOTS of different views of a product. For example, fascinators – I like to see them on the head, off the head, close up, different angles, and I always always always wish the seller would show the kind of clip they use! No one ever shows the clip… and my hair is super thin, so most clips don’t work for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ah sorry amariem25 – I was the one who removed your recent link to your etsy store… not our awesome Hostess team!

We have a strict no promotion policy on the boards… that goes double for vendor-y links.  Sorry about that…

ps You’re amazingly close to 2000 posts!! ๐Ÿ™‚
