We all know that all brides and all weddings are unique, and obviously each bride & groom only needs to be happy with themselves and their choices! We all know everyone else’s approval is not needed!
But for you PERSONALLY, what wedding traditions, decor, beliefs, “etiquette”, wardrobe choices or trends make you cringe?
Personally I can’t stand it when the engagment ring and the wedding band don’t look like they match!
I am also a big hater of the cake smash!

I don’t like the cake smash either! It’s cliche, but also- I spent a lot of money to get my make-up done, I’ll be darned if I’m gonna let some cake ruin it! 🙂
I also don’t like the dollar dance or the garter toss. I wouldn’t of wanted to be a bride doing that. I just like to avoid being the center of attention as much as possible. Way too shy for that! No offense!

Any sort of line dancing. My mom loves to do the electric slide/macarena and I’m going to need to warn the DJ about her.

I don’t really care for fake flowers as centerpieces. I know its more budget friendly, but I LOVE REAL FLOWERS, I always have some fresh flowers at home and I guess I’m just used to it.

Definitely the cake smash, but the garter toss is even worse.

I hate that our RSVP date is tomorrow and I can’t start calling people right away. I am chomping at the bit.
I’m not wild about the bouquet toss, but I used to like it when I had a ton of single girlfriends. Now I have 2. Not very exciting.

Cake smashing. Garter toss. Bouquet toss where the DJ has to force women onto the floor, shing the spotlight on how SINGLE they are. Dollar dances/any form of asking for cash at a reception from guests. The song “Butterfly Kisses”.

I’m all about the regular wedding “traditions,” such as the garter toss, bouquet toss, money dance, etc…but I cannot handle the cake smashing. That was something my husband and I agreed on a LONG time ago, and it definitely didn’t happen on our wedding day!
