We threw it together in under 6 hours and did zero planning for our wedding!

No – not really.  It’s what you get when your FI says “we’re doing this today” and hauls you and the kids off to City Hall to get your marriage license while phoning a JoP on the ride down there.

After the death of a close relative, DH and I decided to scrap most of our plans and bump our wedding up. In two months, we threw together a nice courthouse wedding and reception at a restaurant the next day. We’re having a bigger reception next year, but we’re not having a “do-over” wedding or anything…just a big party.

Where are you getting married? We’ve spent a lot of time in York.

@MrsMaine: We had a fraction of DH’s family and our friends with us this year, so it’s a fun way to include everyone. πŸ™‚

Our getaway vehicle was a boat! It was the same boat that we got engaged on at the same lake almost one year earlier!

@PitBulLover: That’s awesome! πŸ˜€ Color me jealous.

Speaking of color…I forgot to add that my dress was green and that I only wore it for the reception; I just wore a sweater and a nice skirt for the wedding.
