Or that you anticipate that guests will enjoy most, even if they don't know what the menu is ahead of time?

Probably the Stuffed Pork Loin:  Whole loin of pork stuffed with chorizo and spinach bread filling, sliced and served with grilled green apples.

judging by the crowd i'll have at my wedding (a bunch of 20-25 y/os)...i'm going to say, like mimosa, it'll probably be the alcohol, heh. even though i've set food and dress as top priorities (everything else can suck for all i care, but both the food and the dress are going to be exquisite. :D)

the cake was huge.  Everyone loved it.  I had so many people ask me where it was from.  They said it was the best wedding cake they ever had.  One of the reasons I think it was such a hit was because two of the smaller cakes that were served weren't really wedding cakes - they were chocolate turtle cakes from Cafe Latte in St. Paul MN.  We did have a traditional chocolate wedding cake too (3 tiered) and people seemed to like that as well.  But the Cafe Latte cakes that were on the side of the main cake were a huge success.

I'm still hearing about the lamb chops over 2 months later.  I didn't try them but I guess they were really good!

Whenever I go to weddings, I look forward to cake the most! If its a dry, tasteless cake that looks gorg, I'm like " UH UHHHHH, no they DIDN'T"...in my head of courseLaughing My family is the same way. They're worse. They'll actually gossip to each other about the cake (after the wedding, thank goodness...geez...) like its a frickin' familial sin to make us eat bad cake.

However, my other comrades in the constant barrage of wedding invites seem to agree on 2 things

    1) If you have mac+cheese in some way or form (or ANYTHING cheesy for that matter), you are a goddess

    2) If you have steak, you are a goddess (all of my guy friends are telling me, "galacticpony, when you and galacticstallion get married, you are going to have a big rib-eye on each plate." "Sure, friends," I reply, "so long as I win ze lottery...oh, and GET ENGAGED." hehe

I actually think people liked our vegetarian option--wild mushroom saccehtti in a garlic cream sauce.  It was AWESOME.  The Hubs and I aren't vegetarians, but we ordered this anyway and it was great!
