    • Wedding: March 2013

We’re a March couple. We began dating in March, got engaged in March, so it seemed fitting to keep it full circle. Plus, March weddings are much cheaper by us!

    • Wedding: July 2011

Ours was in July. The soonest it could have been was June because of me graduating in May and wanting the wedding AFTER the degree. But my cousin suddenly decided to steal my wedding date by putting a down payment on their venue for the exact day before our announced wedding date. Lucky for us we hadn’t put the down payment on our venue just yet so we moved it a month to give family a break. So, July it was! And in the end, I am so happy it happened the way it did. I accidentally scheduled our wedding date on the exact same date as my great grandmother. I had no idea until my grandmother told me after the fact! And I love it!

Ours will be in December because I have always wanted a winter wedding. Winter is my favorite time of year.

Interesting poll. I’m excited to see the answers…so far I wonder if it’s skewed at all because summer brides are more likely to be stalking the bee…but who knows?

We’re August, and we chose it based on our school/work schedules, knowing that we wanted a summer wedding. We also have a groomsman who needed to work during the Olympics so we had to schedule after that.

    • Wedding: October 2013

Ours is in October (2013). Mainly for boring logistical reasons – Fiance has 3 exams to complete in the next 2 years, and the best time for us to get married and go on our honeymoon is next September – October. Our venue didn’t have any Saturdays left in September, so October it is! I’m an autumn girl at heart, anyway.

I know in my area, August is the most popular because it’s the only 4 weeks of the year where we can determine the weather.  Everybody commented on how we chose ‘their’ anniversary weekend until we explained that they, too, had chosen someone elses because it was just a popular time to get married in the NW.  Ours, specifically, is chosen to coincide with the Perseid meteor shower because we’re total universe geeks.  In fact, we would have gotten married last year at the same time but there was a full moon making stargazing next to impossible.

We specifically wanted to get married August 31st because of “our” songs.  “The Night Will Go As Follows” by the Spill Canvas is our first dance song and it specifically mentions the “August night sky.”  Our other song is “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire and we wanted to play it at midnight, September 1st.

    I know, it’s crazy.  Haha

August. No special reason, we just needed to choose a time of the year when the kids and teachers in the family were on break, so summer it was. I didn’t want to be married in June or July, so August it was. I really wanted a September wedding, but it just wasn’t going to happen.

    • Spring compliments our color palette.

    • Outdoor wedding possible without being super hot.
    • Allows us to avoid the worst summer heat at our honeymoon destinations: Vegas & NYC.

    • Wedding: September 2013

Ours is in September. I initially wanted it in the Summer since both Fiance and myself were born in the summer but the summer months are VERY popular and also VERY pricey. So Fiance and I decided September, since the weather is still nice and the prices take a small dive after August.

I always wanted an April or October wedding, but Fiance proposed in January, and I wanted a short engagement (I’m 40 and have older parents with some health issues.) He proposed on Friday Jan 13, and our top venue had Friday July 13th open, so it seemed perfect. Keeping fingers crossed that the heat wave’s gone by then!

July, simply because it’s summer and it’s just about the soonest we can get married after Fiance graduates.

    Boring, I know 😛 haha
