We are having three (recorded songs) at the wedding.

Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes

Apocalyptica Nothing Else Matters

and Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters

None for the reception and satellite radio tuned to the “grunge” station for the pig roast the next day! Since I am paying for the wedding, reception, and pig roast – I get to pick!

Our processional will be Goo Goo Doll’s “Without You Here”. Ever since I heard this song I thought it was an awesome love song. And I “saved” it: as in I never let myself associate it with a boyfriend, and I had wanted it for my first dance song. My FI doesn’t really want it for the first dance, so it’s the processional now 🙂

Recessional: maybe “Only You” by Train? its really short!

First dance: It’s a secret! But we’re hoping to make it a medley of a few of our favorite love songs from alternative bands like Atreyu and Secondhand Serenade, etc.

Father/Daughter dance song: I personally like “Ready, Set, Don’t Go” by Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus (as much as it hurts me to admit that! lol) but I’m sort of leaving it up to my dad, so we’ll see! I can almost guarantee it won’t be country

Mother/Son dance song: no clue!

@Bjack28:  We are having an early evening wedding with a reception of just light refreshments, punch, coffee and cake. The BIG party is the day after and we will be partying to 90s alternate and grunge!

My DH wrote and recorded our songs himself for the ceremony! But for the reception, we had a DJ who played 90’s-present rock….but we did not have any dancing.

For the bridal parties processional, I picked Pachabel’s Canon in D. FI likes the tradition and I like the song. I will be entering to I Giorni by Ludovico Einaudi. Haven’t picked out the recessional yet!

Our first dance is to “Iris” by The Goo Goo Dolls (its our song). The father/daughter dance is to “My Girl” by The Temptations and the mother/son dance is to “La Negrita Tiene Tumbao” by Celia Cruz.

I love music! I’m so excited!
