Silk or gel wraps are basically just a thinner version of a smoothy-magic for nails. Not thick like acrylic, and also doesn't damage the nail as much. They aren't nearly as heavy-duty as acrylics, but polish sticks to them like a dream.
I was just wondering this same thing as I cracked another one of my thin, ugly, natural nails yesterday. Would silk or gel wraps work for thin nails as well? Or does anyone know of a way to naturally thicken your own?
Good to know that polish stays better too. I especially need that since I would like the classic french manicure. Thanks!

My nails can get pretty long and thick, so I want to avoid acrylics. Does anyone know of anything else I can get done to make them look nicer? I've heard of silk wraps but not sure what it is or what it looks like. Any experienced bees with this out there?
