I am curious where all of the New Hampshire brides are getting married!

We are having our ceremony at St. Matthew's Church followed by a reception at the Mountainview Grand Resort & Spa in Whitefield, NH.  We had never been to either location before but fell in love with the great NH fall vibe that we got at both spots.

Sheraton Harborside in Portsmouth...I LOVE Portsmouth and I wanted to give my guests (many from out of town) a taste of the New England Seacoast where I grew up!  Kara Townley, the coordinator there has been fantastic, if anybody was thinking of having their wedding there!  (Also, they just re-did the ballroom in shades of beige and gold...very pretty and neutral!)

The Mountain View Grand is a great place - Mount Washington Resort = as nice. The views from both are AMAZING.  I have some actual video clips on both venues from weddings last year.

For the Seacoast NH area, Wentworth by the Sea

For Lakes Region definitely Church Landing/Mill Falls.

For Jackson/North Conway - The Wentworth Inn, Eagle Mt. House, Stonehurst Manor, White Mountain Hotel & Resort

Who are your vendors for Mt. View Grand? Do you have your florist/photographer etc. yet?

If you are looking for something fun to do a few days before the wedding with your bridal party or other guests (at Mt. View Grand) check out the new canopy tour at Bretton Woods - SO MUCH FUN - a few of my couples did it this winter and LOVED it :)

That is a great idea!  Thanks Meg!

I have most vendors booked (photographer, florist, cake) but am still in search of ceremony musicians (soloist, horn, organist) and a local photobooth rental co.  If you have any suggestions, let me know!

One of my cousins got married in front of the town hall in Walpole, and the other at an orchard, but I think the orchard was on the border in Vermont.

We're getting married next May at Brookstone Park in Derry, NH (ceremony and reception).  Looked at a TON of places, and this was our favorite...also pretty reasonable for a really nice place.  Yay NH brides! :)

Yay for Brookstone! Our reception is there in just over a month! Everyone that we've worked with there has been truly wonderful. They're very on top of things and make you feel so at ease.

Yeah, the wedding coordinators there are AWESOME!  SO happy to hear that you liked it so much mdayweekend2010!!  Just out of curiosity, do you remember what you ate?? Everyone who has eaten there has told me that the food was great, but we haven't even eathen there yet...oops :)  Did you friend have her ceremony there too??  Do you have any pics??  Llc2be...PLEASE post pictures after your wedding!! I would LOVE to see shots of a Brookstone wedding!!  Very happy to hear that everyone has been very on top of things...I've definitely felt the same way...the ladies there are great!  Enjoy your big day!! :)  Oh, and one more question....where did your friend/are you having your guests stay??  That's the only thing I've been having trouble finding...there aren't many hotels in the area!

@MayBee- they had the stuffed chicken and then beef, rumor has it the beef was not so good over cooked, but my chicken was really good!

I will try to find some pictures of her wedding and message them to you.  As far as hotel, most of her wedding was locals so they booked a block at the Red Roof Inn, it was also race weekend so they didn't have much to choose from.  DO NOT make your guest stay there at any costs though so aweful I stayed there and it was so gross!  But I think there is a La Quinta and a Holiday Inn close by i would check those out.

When in may are you getting married maybe we are date twins I am 5-30-2010?

We blocked off rooms for our guests at LaQuinta in Salem. I'd heard about problems with room blocks and customer service at the Holiday Inn so we skipped that hotel. So far, everything has been great at LaQuinta.

At the tasting at Brookstone all the food was delicious. We ended up picking meals that weren't offered at the tasting however, the salmon and the filet mignon. I'll let you know how they are!

MayBee, I'll post pics on my blog after the wedding.

I'm getting married at The Granite Rose in Hampstead. Anybody else look into it? What about hair/makeup in the NH area? I live in MA, so I'm not sure how to go about finding a good place for day-of preparations!

I am so excited to see more NH brides on the boards! I live in MA but am getting married in NH, too.

I LOVE the Wentworth. We looked at getting married there, too, but the dates they had available did not work for us.

I have never seen the Granite Rose - will have to check them out online!

I am doing hair/makeup at the salon at my hotel. I have no idea if they are any good yet, but am doing it for the convenience (our venue is in the middle of nowhere!). When my sister got married in Manchester, we used hair and makeup artists from Signature Style in Manchester. They will travel to your house if you would like. I think Not So Plain Janes also offers the same services and I have heard good things about them.

PS - see the sticky at the top of the NH board and feel free to add/comment with your own vendors!

We haven't picked a ceremony or reception site yet, and I'm getting stressed because I can't really find anything that we love that is fitting in our budget (due to the 150 person guest list) of $10-12k.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We chose Flag Hill Winery in Lee, NH for our ceremony and reception.  Ceremony site is outdoors, overlooking the vineyards - reception is tented, with great views.  www.flaghill.com

@Seven are you looking for 10-12K for venue fee and food, or what does that amount need to include?

We picked the Mt Washington Resort.  We just knew as soon as we walked through the doors that that was where we wanted to get married.

@jennybarnard did you go to nrhs?  your name seems so familiar.

we're getting married at an old town hall in alexandria!  my folks live there, it's SUPER inexpensive, has a very cool rustic charm - inside for the reception, and a lovely new gazebo - outside for the ceremony!  i'm very excited to have a rustic, DIY, folksy wedding...  but planning it from CA has been a nightmare!  ugh.  no worries, less than 4 months and i'll be a mrs!

Well, we finally found a place, of course it's in MA not NH, but only 45 min from Manchester - it's the Bayside of Nahant, and fit our budget and our desire to be near the water! Our ceremony is at Bailey's Hill Park, overlooking Nahant Bay, and then a half mile down the street is the Bayside for our reception - it sits out over the bay and is surrounded by water on three sides, with windows all around!
