PICKED MY VENUE! Super super super excited! We decided to go with the cheaper option (to those who helped affirm my decision on the boards I appreciate it). Anyways, I read the boards and blogs daily and I bookmark millions of ideas that I love.

WHAT do I need to do next? What decisions? I am getting married July 2011 so I have a long ways to go but what comes next?

    Thanks Bees!

How exciting! Congrats on finding the venue - that's such a huge thing to get crossed off the list!

Now that you know your venue, you can really start thinking about decor and colors and all of that. You're still a year away, so I would take some time to think about it (don't just pick a color and start randomly buying stuff, haha) but i'd recommend looking at inspiration boards on Snippet & Ink and start thinking about the style you like!

Also, a year out is typically when you'd start to think about photography, depending on where you live!

All your vendors!!! See what your venue has rules about and start going to bridal shows and getting reccomendations. If you don't have photography, GET THAT NOW!!!!

Congrats on finding a venue!  Id focus on finding your other vendors, at least the ones thats are most important to you.  Catering (if not provided by venue), photographry, DJ, hair/makeup etc.  Most florists and bakeries can do several weddings a day so unless you have your heart set on someone, Id hold off on those for a bit and focus on other vendors.

Also start thinking about your color scheme and theme if you are doing one and havent figured it out already.

Secure vendors!  You don't have to make decisions about what exactly you want; you just have to get your name and date in their book.  Find your photographer, DJ, caterer (if you need one), officiant, and any other entertainment or service you'll need for that day.  You'd be surprised how early some of these vendors get booked!
