Based off of some other posts, and I’m sure it’s been posted somewhere at one point, what percentage of invited guests attended? I know it varies w/ destination weddings, size of guest list, etc. I’ve heard the average was 80% so I’m just curious!

85-ish for us, but that’s counting the people we knew wouldn’t be able to make it. Minus those, 94%. We had a few people we were surprised weren’t coming.

Right about 60% for us, but FI’s family is from across the country. Invited them all, but knew most of them wouldn’t make it. So now we’re going there for Christmas so I still get to meet everyone.

We had about 24% decline, but we also had a ginormous list of 450-something invited. If your guest list is smaller and based on people you’re a lot closer with then I would guess there’d be a lot less declines.

- Wedding: September 2013 - Franklin Plaza
We have between 60-65% that will be attending (just waiting on a few RSVPs).

70% attended (91 out of 130 invites).

This is a great idea for a poll–everyone always says plan on about 80%, but I am not sure how accurate that really turns out to be.
It would be interesting to see the poll expanded with percentage options for Destination Wedding (>3 hours away) vs. non-DW (<3 hrs away). I think people who invite 200 people to a Destination Wedding half a world away, but realizing that only a small number will be able to make the time/monetary commitment to come, may skew the results somewhat.

We invited about 190 and we’re looking at 120 coming, so around 60%. We originally invited 160 and slowly added more as we got the No’s. At least 20 of the people we knew for sure couldn’t come, 10-20 we were surprised said no, and the rest were just what we expected. We had about 50% out of state guests.
