What ONE wedding expense do you regret buying the most?

we didn’t really regret buying anything. There were some things we almost bought that we are glad people talked us out of (menus, guest book, colored table linens). But everything we purchased we loved and/or so did our guests.

I’m going to say accessories in general. I’ve already bought two hair pieces (and still not sure which I’m going to use or how to do my hair!) I bought a necklace and earring set that I wont be wearing. I bought my veil, and now I want a different one.

Screw accessories. lol.

I ordered a dress from an online maker that, surprise, didn’t work out. I ended up being able to sell it, but only for half of what I paid. Boo.

I wish I had done more research before buying my veil. I could have gotten a better deal.

@Diamond84:  I had a 180 degree change about two months before my wedding, which means the maggie sotterro gown I imported and the pearls and pink shoes were no longer in play. I had a dress made literally a month before the wedding, loaned pearls and wore black painted pumps. It’s a huge expense and I can’t get the gown sold…not even for scraps. *Shrugs* it all came together in the end though… and we might just end up with maggie sotterro scatter cushions and me wearing the corset, dyed and de-blinged. 🙂

@Diamond84:  I bought a $65 headband from Kirsten Keuhn, what a waste, it never arrived.  I ordered in November for my February wedding.  I emailed the seller again and again to find out what happened, literally a week before my wedding she wrote me back to say she was sending it as a rush ship.  Andddd almost 3 weeks later, still nothing.  What am I going to do with a crystal headband…

@Diamond84:  My stupid Manolo Blahnik rose gold glitter pumps.  I got them on sale for $300 so….at least it wasn’t a loss of $750 like they originally go for.

I didn’t even wear them.   I decided to do all the pre wedding stuff like pictures, pre party and everything else in my comfortable J.Crew nude pumps….so when it was time for the ceremony and time for me to get those Manolos on my feet I didn’t want to deal with even a second of discomfort so I just kept my J.Crews on.

@allyfally:  Screw accessories indeed!

I bought 3 pairs of earrings (1 off of etsy) before I decided to just MAKE my dream earrings.

I bought two pairs of shoes (can’t really regret the first pair, I used them for my rehearsal dinner shoes, and love love love them).

Only thing I really regret buying for the wedidng was the return address stamp for the invites. I didn’t really use it that much FOR the wedding, and haven’t used it since. Its just kind of unwieldy and big, and I have return address pre-printed stickers for that sort of thing.  Thankfully it was only $20 or so, so not a huge expidenture.

A cake topper. It was cheap ($13) but doesn’t really fit into the theme anymore. But now since I have it I feel bad buying another topper. I can’t decide what to do :/

I splurged on my dream pair of shoes and am really regretting it now. Some how between when I ordered them and now my feet have changed and they no longer fit. $350 down the drain if I can’t get them to stretch out.

My mum also bought us this beautiful cake topper that I fell in love with a year ago and now it doesn’t really fit in with the cake or anything else with the wedding but she spent somewhere between $30-$60 on it so I feel like I really have to use it.
