What (other than pregnancy) would make my period so late?

Stress, illness and medications can all delay O. I’m confused by what you mean by “Negative or possibly very faint”. Are you seeing lines within the read time on a pink dye test?

@nataliegrace90:  all three of those things could cause it to be late. Also, a change in diet or supplements, or exercise regimen could do it.

@nataliegrace90:  Sometimes there is just a weird cycle. It has happened to me once before.

How many tests did you take and which brands? Did you try a digital?

@nataliegrace90:  The first BFP I got was on a wondfo at DPO 10, for me, they were as sensitive as FRER. If you don’t get AF in the next two days, test again. It take HCG 48 hours to double, so you should definitely see a line in 2 days if you are pregnant. (This is easier said than done, if it were me, I wouldn’t be able to contain myself, I would probably not be able to sleep all night, consider a 3am potty break ‘FMU’ and then get very sad and teary if it were negative. But I’m really hoping you are a stronger person than I am!)

@nataliegrace90:  I had a bad batch of wondfos giving falsies. Google your batch number and see what comes up.

Progesterone can keep you from getting your period on time/at all… did you take it after your ovulated? The suggested dose/time on the container is actually very different per person. I know most say day 14-28, but you have to make sure you O’d or if can keep you from ovulating when you normally would.

Stress can definitely make you late.  But it’s also possible that you had a late ovulation. I am hoping it is the latter and that you can celebrate soon 🙂

@nataliegrace90:  heory 3: the natural progesterone supplements i took for the suggested time and dosage messed up my hormones and made my cycles o

What did you take? Saw Pilmetto? Maca?

Saw did not through me off, actually made me have a 28 day cycle. Maca DID throw off my cycle. I definitely vote for the supplements

@nataliegrace90:  I have 32 day cycles, I was 4 days off. Do you feel like you have period symptoms?
