We have to book caterer (doing tastings next weekend, hope we find one!), photographer (again, have appts next weekend!) and cake!! I love our DJ, he is super funny and nice and gets a party going!
If you love your DJ already that is GREAT! That is a very important vendor to fall in love with. They own the party :)
I need a cake vendor (we are doing cupcakes). If I eat another piece of cake I may explode lol. Ultimately, it's about me making a decision, but gosh darn it, it's so hard!
@dancergmu3 - Where have you looked for cakes? My friend used Sweet bakery in Ellicott City for her cupcakes and they were delicious! It was probably the only wedding that I've been to where I've eaten the dessert (and taken extra to go).
I've also been to events where they've sampled cake and have loved what they serve every time!
We're having a southern wedding, so we have a few things left to book & our wedding's in 2 months. We're getting a string quartet (but in my case it's a guitar, violin & madolin) that I have to book, and I have to book the rental company..the guys who put up my tents and chairs and whatnot. Everything else is basically booked, we just havent paid all of the vendors in full just yet. But this is the case in many weddings..I say the first thing you book is alwasy the venue (obviously), your wedding photographer & your wedding planner. My original wedding date was Nov. 7th, but had to postpone it to March 13th bc of how fast it was coming! I had finally gotten a wedding planner around September and she has been a tremendous help!!
Cake.. I'm so not into looking for a cake. The last thing I want to do is run all around the city tasting cake and forgetting which ones were better than others. I'm putting it off SO BAD. I'm hoping there's lots of cake to taste at the upcoming bridal expo in my area. It's so annoying -.-
Cake and Flowers! I think my favorite is my photographer because she is awesome and we got her for a steal!
@LadyGoodman, I will definitely check them out! I have only looked at local places near my house in Annapolis, but am always looking. I am glad that you recommended them, that is HUGE to me. Thank you!
