Oh goodness!  I JUST about two days ago could forgo even a panty liner from the post partum bleeding.  and then yesterday I thought it was starting back up, this morning it was much heavier like a period!  I went in for my 6week follow up appt and they couldn't even do the appt due to the bleeding. I said I was worried and the nurse said its most likely my period again.  I'm exclusively bf'ing, about every 3 hours.  I was sort of looking forward to no periods for awhile  (sigh).

There are actually a couple bees that have had the same experience, but I am sure it sucks!

No fun.  There are ways to lengthen the post partum amenorrhea but they're pretty difficult to do in our culture.

Super lame! I, too, thought I'd be one of those ladies who gets to experience months of period-free heavan post-partum.  no such luck.  Mine came back before my 6 week appointment.  :(

    Yikes!

Happened to one of my best friends, too... less than 3 months after the birth of her son, at her doctor's appointment she found out she was pregnant - AGAIN! And she was breastfeeding. Her kids are barely a year apart. She absolutely adores them but definitely didn't plan to have a second immediately after having her first! lol

Did you have a girl?  It might not be your period.  If you were a little more active than you had been the pp bleeding could just have started up again.  That's what happened to me.

@wigglewagon  Hi! I did have a girl  (does that come into play?),  I was more active this past 2 days since I had technically hit the 6 week mark, but not excessively active.  I guess it could still be pp bleeding, but that had stopped- does it come back in full force, so heavy?  The nurse at my ob's office sent me home from my 6 week appt and said they couldn't do anything and it was most likely my period.  I tried to tell her that I'm breast feeding only, but she said "it can happen"

and yes, i do fill gyped!  :)  but on the bright side, if it is it, then I don't have to worry about being surprised by it later.

Everyone that I know who has had both bled more with their girls. I bled for 8 weeks off and on but my period didn't come back until she was 10 months old. If you were more active recently it definitely could have started up again but you never know
