I think waiting to O is the most stressful part.  Worrying about if it will happen this cycle if it is late, or whether we are properly timing BD since you never can be sure of which days are most important until after!  I also think the time from AF until I am entering my fertile phase seems to drag on the most.  The TWW I am like you.  I tend to be optimistic that our timing was decent, and the first half I am happy my temps are going up and I can relax as the chart won’t tell me anything yet.  Once I hit 7DPO though, I start over analyzing every little temp shift so that is stressful too.  Luckily, I start POAS at 10DPO so I am not subjected to that torture for nearly as long!

Agreeing with MrsEagleEye – waiting to O was the most difficult, speaking as someone who had a couple of insanely long cycles. I was charting and temping, and there were times when it felt like O would never get there. Seeing the temp shift was usually a relief because at least I knew that my body was doing its thing, even if it took a while.

yup, waiting to O, which can takes days or weeks for me, is definitely the most stressful. once i’m in the TWW i know to just ignore everything and wait out the days, no longer ‘stressful’ at all.

but a year ago when we started, and i was much less knowledgeable about the whole process, it was definitely the tww πŸ™‚

Waiting to O, because I never know when or if my husband will be home during that window.  We didn’t miss the window this month but only were able to BD one day–one the first day I got the smiley.  I am worried that there will be months we entirely waste in the future.  :/

Once I’m pregnant (if I can get that way), I know the most stressful part will be the first trimester.  My cousin just had a miscarriage yesterday at 8 weeks.  πŸ™

@PilotsGirl56:  Oh no! I’m so sorry! πŸ™ I always hate hearing stories like this because it scares the crap out of me. But you’re right, after the first trimester, the risk of m/c drops dramatically and I’ll be so relieved once that’s over. I wish you and your cousin all the best. Lots of sticky baby dust to you both! Btw, all you need is one so the one time you did it this month could’ve been it, you’re not out yet!

Waiting to O was the worrrrrrrrrrst. If you don’t O or don’t catch it, you don’t even have a shot. That’s so much worse than the TWW!

The worst time for me is between 10-14 dpo. My body comes up with random pregnancy symptoms with bfn’s. Right now my boobs are enlarged and slightly sensitive, random things make me cry but then the test says no. πŸ™

I have never experienced ANY PMS/ pre AF symptoms until I started ttc.

@angelicwink:  last cycle it was waiting to O, this cycle it’s the TWW.  I am considering not temping during the next two weeks so I don’t obsess over it… and I’ll start again if (FX!) AF shows up.

Everything for me. I hate the whole damn thing! I wish that both of us didn’t want kids so bad

I really do hate the couple of days leading up to my period though… always wondering if it’ll make an appearance or not.

Since I am just starting TTC now, the most stressful part for me is to make sure I am not accidentally consuming anything that I shouldn’t be. E.g. alcohol, TOO much caffiene, etc.

And second stressful after this would definitely be the big ‘O’.

The first month I charted, I found all of it torture. I was beyond obsessed, beyond. The second month, the hardest phase was waiting to O. My husband was away for the weekend right before O and I ended up O’ing a couple days early. I wanted to make sure we got it in enough to have a good chance – which also makes things stressful.

This last cycle I didn’t obsess during the tww at all. I started doing the temperature thing and that really helped keep me calm as I had something that kept me positive. I didn’t symptom spot at all, I was calm and relaxed. Maybe my body just knew as I got my BFP last week πŸ™‚
