I chose a round brilliant solitaire 0.61cts on a yellow gold band 🙂 From a very large jewellery store chain, readily available 🙂

I have a solitaire green sapphire. I had to have the head altered to fit the oval stone as it was meant to hold a round one, but otherwise my ring setting was fairly readily available for purchase. Things I like in a solitaire are low set, basket setting, tapered band, and four prongs. My ring is palladium which wasn’t a poll option.

Mine is 1.1 carats and is 6 prongs. I didn’t pick it out but live having a solitaire. My weddibg band adds the drama to the ring set.

Not really a solitaire fan but there are exceptions so for me I’d like either claw or fishtail prongs, maybe some engraving oru tapered band and a blue sapphire or blue diamond center stone sigh.

I’m a solitaire girl.  I chose the setting.  We had it somewhat customised; added the euro shank, platinum head on a white gold setting.  The shank isn’t tapered, and measures about 3.5mm wide, which, for me, is perfect.

I don’t have a solitaire, but if I would have gotten one it would be six prong, white gold, round diamond. I really like the claw prongs that looks pointed instead of round beads…if that makes sense.

Here’s mine. It’s white gold, four prong, twist band.

Mine is a four prong round brilliant diamond. I’m not a big fan of halos or blooms.

If I had to have a solitaire I’d have gone with platinum, and something with a slight twist eg a slightly unusual band or basket; I quite like these two:
