I like Porefessional! It’s by Benefit. The only issue I find with primers is that they are so dang expensive for the tiniest bottle. I’ve started using Rimmel London because I needed primer ASAP and I had run out of my others and it was the only one I could find at my local Walgreen’s. It’s not bad but I don’t recommend it.

Arbonne is the best one that I have found is light weight and fills in any lines.  Well worth the $

I have the Smashbox Photo Finish primer. I don’t usually wear foundation/powder on my face but when I do, this stuff is great. It’s so lightweight and feels like you have nothing on. And stays really nice for hours!

expensive but my hands down favourite, Lancome. You dont need a lot of primer so the bottle lasts a very long time.

I love primers from Smashbox. I was using the orange one (don’t remember the exact name) but switched to the blue one for dry skin recently. Love them both!  I really see a difference in how long my makeup lasts when I am in a hurry and skip the primer in the morning.

I’ve had good luck with the green one to cover red marks (and a horrible nose sunburn on my honeymoon) as well.

For eyes, I love Urban Decay Primer Potion.  It works really well, and it’s about $20, but lasts a long time (as a MUA, I use it daily, and probably replace it twice a year).  For full face, Smashbox ones are nice, but sometimes I feel like they give off too much shine, especially in photos.

I use Benefit’s “That Gal” primer. It’s also a little bit tinted, so sometimes I just wear moisturizer, that, and mascara. I do NOT put Benefit foundation on top of it, though… for some reason they don’t work together on my skin.

I absolutely hated the arbonne primer (so much I gave it away and it was expensive!) but I live by the lancome primer Le Base

I use both Smashbox, and when I feel cheap or run out I get Monistat Chaffing gel. Same ingredients and much cheaper!

I love the one by Reviva Labs. Very reasonably priced, works very well and lacks many of the toxic ingredients found in similar products.

I really like Armani’s primer ( and their foundation too!). It’s super light like a gel, goes on smooth and does not clog pores. It helps control shine and make the foundation last longer. It is quite expensive though. The other one I like, which is a bit cheaper, is Napolean Perdis’s primer. It’s more like a moisturizer consistency and I feel like it’s a bit heavier. I have heard a lot of good things about Smashbox but have never tried it… maybe next time.

Smashbox is my favorite!!!! But I also really like the porefessional by benefit, the primer potion by urban decay is really good as well. For a person with combination to oily skin, those three work the best with my skin because I feel like they control shine very well.

I’m obsessed with Hourglass. It’s pricey, but you only need a very small amount (seriously, less is more). I love that you can buy a smaller size or a full size. My small size lasted me forever.
