Labelled as corset dresses for little girls. At first glance, I thought they were adult dresses that the girls were playing dress up in, but they are actually for the girls instead. Considering that kids these days are sexualized younger and younger with the various clothing options intended for them, why would anyone think this was acceptable?
Also, alot of the tops that sold with the tutu skirts are strapless as well, which no child has any business wearing.

Wow. Okay. Too many thoughts.
That would be an okay dance recital costume or maybe dress-up, but the ad says for holiday pics or parties….really? What happened to sleeves, lol, I thought it was winter.

I don’t think it would be SO bad but it clearly doesn’t fit properly in the top, so no I would not buy that for my daughter. Her chee chees are practically hanging out!

Since it’s not an obvious corset in the back and I don’t find it to be overly sexual (personaly) I don’t think it’s offensive. It would probably be cuter without the corset but I don’t think it’s inappropriate as it’s not like the tight tight corsets we wear when we are older.

Sadly that’s not the worst I’ve seen *barf*

I’m offended by the ugliness, not the sluttiness. Could be better with some fishnets and a weave, though.

Why would a small child wear any kind of strapless top, regardless of it it is a corset or not? I don’t find it entirely appropriate. It might be cute with a sweater over it though, but in that case it could just be made into a regular shirt!

It looks like something one of the kids on “Toddlers and Tiaras” would wear honestly. I don’t really care for strapless on kids that young. I know we used to wear strapless rompers with the elastic waist when we were like 10, 11, 12 years old but we weren’t built like kids that age today. I would NEVER let my daughter wear that.

There was a bride on the bee the other day looking for a mermaid style dress for her flower girl. “Nuff said.

Could you imagine the look on your family members’ faces if you brought your young child to a holiday event decked in that??? haha it almost makes it tempting….

@lezlers: ha ha yeah I don’t find it to be slutty, just poorly designed. I think that in an attempt to make it fit on a growing body and still be cute the corset was placed in there. And I do think it would be a lot better with a sweater, but it’s just not that cute IMHO.

@julies1949: Lol wtf?
I once saw a 12 year old girl wearing a t-shirt that said “Jailbait” across the front. Now what sane mother would buy her kid THAT?!
@lezlers: Zomg I DO love you! I hope you’re not creeped out that I have decided to bee-stalk you.
EDIT: I just looked at your link and I’m more disturbed by the design than anything. That kid looks all stretched out in the middle, like her legs are just little stumps on the bottom of a really long torso. Also, a lace-up back does not a “corset” make. *shrug*
