this is what i wore for my outdoor reception. they’re from shoes.com. i didn’t have any problems sinking into the grass. they’re little girls’ shoes (i have very small feet, hah), but a block heel in women’s shouldn’t be too hard to find 🙂

I am having an outdoor ceremony and I am getting these since I am wearing heels. They go onto the bottom of your heels and keep them from sinking into the ground

@mandyhartwell:  I’m also having an outdoor ceremony and I’m wearing 4″ stilettos (yes, I know, probably an awful idea…), so I’m looking into getting something like those as well. Would you recommend them/have you used them yet? I’ve seen a few other companies put out similar products and I’m torn on which ones to get. I was reading horrifying reviews on amazon re: soulmates tearing up the leather on the heel and/or falling off completely, so I’m just nervous that they won’t work and/or will ruin my shiny new shoes. =/

@PrincessBride27:  I haven’t used them yet, however I have heard good things about them from one of my friends. As far as what brand to get, I am probably going to the choose the ones with the highest rating (I’m getting mine from amazon.com).

I’m going to buy some heel above things too, BUT I might be ok not sinking down in these since they don’t come to a fine point, I’m not sure yet. I’ll have to test it out at the rehearsal but I’ll have the heel things on hand for sure.

We had our ceremony on the front lawn of a private estate and I wore 4″ peep toe pumps without any sinking. The reception was on the back patio (concrete) so I had no issues there.

I’ll technically be wearing two pairs 🙂

Out ceremony is outside, so for that I’ll be wearing Badgley Mischka’s Wynter heels:

After pictures (which will be right after the ceremony), we’ll be joining cocktail hour for lawn games and such. At that point, I’m changing into these wedge sandals from Top Wedding Gear.com – they’re super comfortable, and they were only $26!

@lazy:  Wow, great questions! Idk why I didn’t think to ask this before I got married!? Haha. It rained pretty much the entire week up until our wedding day but the evening before and the day of the weather was perfect! With that being said, my shoes worked out GREAT I didn’t sink into the ground or anything 🙂
