Here I am again with a shoe delimma lol.
The wedding is outside, so I can’t have any stilettos.. and I don’t want anything too fancy or expensive. The colors are coral, charcoal and white so I am looking for either gray flats or wedges. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! I am not good with shoes 🙁 lol

Sierrap93: What does the dress look like? Are sandals ok?

Sierrap93: are the dresses short or long?

Outside as in beach or as in grass? I’ve used heel savers to wear stilletos on grass without issue if that’s what you’d prefer.

I’d let them choose their own white sandal. Sorry, but I hate it when bridesmaids are forced to wear a specific shoe. The dress is long and you won’t see their feet. As long as their the same type of shoe and same color, it will be fine.

it is a long dress but regardless, can the girls just wear whatever shoes they want?
my girls had short dresses, and i let them wear whatever, one girl even had the same shoes as me. no big deal at all.
but check out https://www.thesolemates.com/ to be able to wear heels in the grass.

I think it’s reasonable to ask them to wear grey shoes, but also reasonable to have them wear the grey shoe of their choice.

Second the recommendation to let them wear whatever shoes they already have. I’d do a quick survey of the bridesmaids to see what color shoes they already own, and let them pick from one or two choices of color. If they want to use it as an excuse to buy new shoes, so be it, but even if people could see their shoes, no one cares what the bridesmaids’ feet look like. Since the dress doesn’t even let people see their shoes, no point in getting all hung up on what the shoes will be.

I would just tell the girls to pick a pair of gray, white or coral shoes. My dresses are short so they can see the shoes, and I still said to just pick black, non flip flop sandals.

That is actually what I ended up doing. I just told them pick a mid-dark gray shoe, so they can wear whatever they want

Sierrap93: My girls have the same color and dresses! I also let them choose. I just told them no flipflops and silver. Sounds like you came up with a good solution.
