I know that if you do decide to wear heels you can put these little things on them so they have more surface area and you won’t sink into the grass.  Lemme try to find them and what they are called.

But I think flats will look fine.

With a long dress it is pretty hard to see your shoes at all. So I think ballet flats would be fine, if that is what you want to wear.

I agree with the others – if you want to wear flats, wear flats!  Wedges would also work =)  I personally am a rebel and will have some walking in the grass but will not budge from my heels!!
