ok so i’m super excited about my gown, it is the blush flange gowon from White by Vera Wang:(yeah, you’ve all seen it before!)
And our wedding color pallet is this (I call the color on the end “Razzelberry”:
and i’m having a horrible time figuring out what shoes to wear. Below are the ones i’m considering so far, I would love to hear what you ladies think. If you even like any of them!? Please be honest because i haven’t purchased any yet but I need to order them by on January 22!!
the first shoes i bought were these Enzo Vitizzo in light pink:
which were pretty perfect and affordable (http://www.6pm.com/enzo-angiolini-vitizzo-light-pink-multi-fabric?zfcTest=mat%3A1) but the heel was too high. My one big challenge in getting shoes is that my dress has already been hemmed (it’s in alterations right now) and i used a 3.5″ heel in the fitting so i am limited to 3.5″ shoes. (also any higher than that and i’d be taller than my FI) ok so those were a no-go. Here are some others i’m considering:
(1) Ninewest Blonsky in Grey (http://www.zappos.com/nine-west-blonsky-grey-leather#prdInfo)
(2) Caparros Delila in Pewter (http://www.zappos.com/caparros-delila-pewter-fancy-lustre#prdInfo)
(3) A nude pump like Ninewest Martina in beach sand (http://www.ninewest.com/Martina/8103637,default,pd.html?variantSizeClass=&variantColor=TORTAPA&cgid=4216003&prefn1=catalog-id&prefv1=ninewest-catalog)
(4) Razzelberry-colored shoes like the Betsy Johnson Ponzay (http://www.6pm.com/betsey-johnson-ponzay-fuschia-leather?zfcTest=mat%3A1)
ooorrrr I need to just keep looking – which is what my MOH and best friend say. I have been searching for the last month and haven’t found any other shoes like the first ones that are the correct height, so that is discouraging…. so anyway, I’d love to hear what you think about any/all of them. maybe i really do need to keep looking but at this point i feel like i’m at a complete loss. If you have any recommendations, i’d love to hear them!!!

I would go with nude shoes.

I love hour dress and your colors and I personally would go with something in the bright pink color, but I’m not crazy about the style of those Betsey Johnson ones. I don’t feel like the style matches the dress style. But I would go for something that color, or keep looking for something like your first pair!

id go with the first or the last shoe pic, I think with the blush dress the pink would look really nice, but i love bold shoes i know it isnt for everyone

Thanks for the help girls, keep it coming!! I really appreciate it, this shoe thing is causing me tons of headaches!!

I LOVE your original shoes that you said are too high for you. However, I honestly don’t think any of the other shoes are majestic enough for your gorgeous dress.
What do you think of something such as these Badgley Mischkas?

@Brielle: I second this selection, they’re fabulous!
Razzelbride, of your four options I like the pink ones best. The Nine Wests look too casual (though I would wear the heck out of those to work), the pewter pair I think would clash with your dress color (I’d suggest sticking to warm metallics or rose golds), the nude Nine Wests don’t feel very bridal.
I actually really like the razzelberry pair, they would be an awesome little pop under such a soft, feminine gown, but personally i’d go for something more like the BM’s suggested above.

I would wear the first pair and have the heel shortened. You can get that done at a shoe repair shop.

@asscherlover: Whoa, I didn’t ralize you could do that. Wouldn’t it make the toe stick up in the front if you took it down significantly?

@tanibear: You can only take the heel down so much, otherwise the shoe isn’t balanced. If you put the shoes on, stand on a stair (pref the bottom one in case you fall) and let the heels hang off the back and drop your heels down as far as you can without losing your balance. Thats how low the shoe repair guy can make them without making them unbalanced. The toe might stick up a little (I’ve only read about this online, I haven’t actually gotten it done), but other shoes are designed with the toe sticking up a tad (I assume to make it easier to walk).
ETA: What height are they right now?

Ladies, this is very good feedback. You’re all saying what my MOH and BF have been saying… those shoes aren’t wedding-y enough for my dress. (I do love Badgley Mischkas but they’re so expensive!) AND I love the gold ones, but my accessories are pewter flowers in my hair and then my earings are rose quartz with silver setting, so i’m worried gold shoes aren’t the way to go. I’ve found a couple more options, what do you think of these:
(1) Kate spade knock offs (Nordstrom’s house brand)
(2) Ninewest Sharina in pink multi
(3) Ninewest Flax in Pink multi (I know it doesn’t look pink but it’s listed as pink)
What do you think about any of these options??
thanks so much for all of your feed back!!

ok you were all right, none of those shoes were “bridal” enough. i don’t know why i was resisting bridal shoes so much, but after i tried all of those ones on w/ my wedding dress, it was obvious that I needed to go another rout. In total I bought 11 pairs of shoes! I thought I would share with you what I bought and what i kept for any other blush brides out there! ok so here is the list of round two of shoes
(1) RSVP by Jameson
(2) Badgley Mischka Randall
(3) Badgley Mischka Cissy
(4) Ivanka Trump Janie
(5) Kate Spade Krysta
(6) Manolo Blahnik Astutado Glitter
Ok so that is the run down! I absolutely LOVED the Manolo Blahnik’s BUT they were $800 and i really could NOT justify the cost. I actually didn’t think they were special enough for the price tag (especially since i bought a pair of Marc Fischers from Macys for $50 that looked VERY similar!), but they did look great with the dress. The Kate Spade color was completely off for my blush dress (but i bet they look great with jeans!) the RSVP was also not hte right color and honestly i thought they looked cheaply made.
My top two contenders were the Badgley Mischka shoes and I ended up keeping the Cissy! They look PERFECT with my dress. Honestly i’m not crazy about them when they’re in the box or in pictures, and even on my feet all by themselves, BUT they look just gorgeous with the dress!
So that’s it, thank you all for the feedback. I hope this post heps other blush brides!

I have always loved blush with dark gray. I think you should go with the Pewter shoes. They are gorgeous, will accent your dress nicely and have just enough sparkle in them to be bridal.
