Her name or one of those big monograms from etsy. I really like the vinyl sayings too.
How about a great poster in a nice frame (buy an ugly painting at salvation and save and paint the frame white or spray paint gold)
A nice "paris" poster would work well.
I like a big monogram would look really nice.
I love burris4's suggestions! You could also hang wooden letters from ribbon with her initials.
Oh please don't put anything vinyl in that room! An old window or mirror in a frame antiqued white or painted/antiqued soft pink would be so cute. Even something a really soft green antiqued would be cute to match the green in the quilt and curtains. I would also paint that little stand the same color as whatever painted over the bed. Or some pictures frames painted.
How about an old vintage ceiling tile. You can get them on E-Bay. Paint it either pink or pale green and then white over the top and sand it off in areas so that the under paint shows through.
Framed old sheet music can be tea died and framed in painted white ornate fames. It would be fun to find children songs. Possibly the wizard of OZ or Mary Poppins or Shirly Temple songs.
Another idea would be take an old window pane with the paint coming off (make sure it is not lead however) and under the glass hang combinations of dried flowers tied with dainty ribbons and then add antique post cards.
For the bedside table stack old suit cases of similar sizes. These can be nailed together to make the piece more stable. You could leave the top one workable so she could use it for storage of books and stuff.
I would even have a lace doiley or embrodered linens hanging out of some of the cases to make them look functional. You can get vintage travel stickers from the craft store from places like Paris, Milan etc. to carry off the theme.
Pillows - go to thrift shops and antique stores and get old table linens, doileys and tack them to the front of store bought pillows with dainty floral prints or if you sew make the pillows out of these anitque pieces.
You did a great job on the room. Send more pictures when you get it done.
An empty window frame would be OK, but not with glass in it, especially over the bed of a child...they jump on them and it could fall off the wall and cause some serious injuries.
Looks like you've gotten some great ideas!
I LOVE the window pane idea with fabric or scrapbook paper in it to match the room. Or just frame some fabric. I did this in our bathroom and it is amazing. You can get any kind of fabric to match the room. That room is BEAUTIFUL.
Are you the one that got that bed off craigslist for dirt cheap? Someone on here got a wrought iron bed for dirt off of craigslist and it was amazing. If it was you, it is SO perfect in that room.
I love the idea of using wooden letters to spell out your daughter's name. Etsy has some great stuff:

(This one might be more expensive than you'd like, but they do have varying price points.)
@soyjoy222: Yep, that was me. Thank you for the compliment. She is the girliest girl ever and we are all so happy with how the room is turning out.

This is my daughter's room. She is 5.5 and wanted a very girly, shabby chic room. I am drawing a complete blank. If I can figure out how to fill the space above the bed and find the right nightstand and throw pillows I will be done. Thanks for your input.
