- Wedding: February 2014
Okay, so I found a photographer that seemed reasonable, i.e liked her website, reasonably priced etc, in my city. I emailed her, and she was overseas, but sent me some photos of some weddings she had been doing. She also does family photography etc.
She told me she would be back in my city in September. I got distracted and emailed her at the end of September. She still had my date available, asked her a few questions. So anyways, she offered that I come to her studio which is in her home to check out her work and meet her…I agreed which was my original plan anyways as I prefer to meet vendors face to face.
I emailed her early this week and asked if Friday today at 5pm was good. She said yes, asked me to call her if anything changed. I emailed her back the day after and said that I would be there, coming from work.
I got there at 5pm today. Went up to the home and an older lady opened the door. The poor woman obviously did not speak English, but I noticed some photo studio stuff there so concluded I had the right place. There was a little girl there so I think this was Grandma. Anyways I asked for the photographer, the woman told me to stay, and went and got a phone. She handed me the phone after dialing, it was a man (my photographer is a woman). I asked for the photographer, he put her on.
ANYWAYS, this photographer forgot that I was coming to her home today. She offered for me to stay or come back in an hour to look etc…I did not want to do that, its friday night in the city. Then she offered to come to my house?? or my place of work next time instead of me coming to her??
I said no, I would email her this week and talk about rebooking. She did say sorry.
1. OMG who forgets an appointment for a wedding, after I spoke to her TWICE by email
2. Is this really bad, should I run for the hills. My fiance said maybe she will forget to come to the wedding.
3. Why in the hell would I want her to come to my house or my work.
4. It really annoyed me as I left work early to get to this appointment.
I don’t know what to do… should I give her another chance thinking its a mistake… or should I be cautious.
