We had done a photo session just for fun with a photographer before we got engaged and loved them! So when we got engaged we immediately called them! Problem is, at first we we’re meeting once a month to drop off a check but she was always very late to the meeting and once didn’t even show up because she forgot! So I told her because of our schedules we would have to mail the checks to her! We have our last payment this month and she asked if I could drop itnoff since I was a little late getting to her and she needed it by Thursday! I set up a meeting with her this morning before I went to work, waited 20 mins and she still wasn’t there so I left! I tried calling her but it goes straight to voicemail! The only other way I have to contact her is thru email or Facebook and she hasn’t responded to either of those yet either!! I’m freaking out!!! We’re less than 6 weeks away from our wedding and have already paid her a good amount of money!! I don’t know what to do!! What if she just doesn’t show up the day of our wedding??? they have great reviews and do amazing photos they just don’t seem to be able to keep appointments!! What would you all do?

@Sunnyb07: I would be super worried, but at six weeks out I’m not sure how much you can do. You could try writing a nicely worded letter or email to her saying that you are looking forward to working with her for your wedding, but her unresponsiveness and showing up late to scheduled meetings leaves you a bit uneasy. If I were you I would also make sure to ask guests to bring their own cameras and take pictures just incase. Make sure you document all of the missed meetings and failed attempts at contacting her just incase something does happen. Good luck, and I hope everything turns out for the better on your wedding day!

@Sunnyb07: wow that is a lot of exclamation points.
Agree with previous posters. What does your contract say about what happens if she doesn’t show up? If it doesn’t say anything, I would ask (via email so there is record of it) what her protocol is if something happens and she is not there. You would be well within your rights to express your concern about her unresponsiveness. It’s very unprofessional.

@Sunnyb07: Is this a professional wedding photographer? Do you have a phone and/or address? He or she may well be busy on or near weekends of you are dealing with a professional wedding photographer. That said, if you don’t hear back by middle of next week I’d start looking for another photographer, just in case.
Best of luck to you, and I am sorry you are going through this experience.
