We’re having a beach wedding ceremony, and a reception indoors afterward. The bridesmaids and I will be barefoot for the ceremony cuz we think it would be disastrous to try to walk in heels in the sand, but flip flops can also be a bit clumsy. But our dresses are long so u won’t really be able to see our feet much. Now I’m stuck with what the guys should do about their feet…. I just think guy’s feet are gross…u know with their hairy toes and I’m pretty sure they WON’T get a pedicure!! What do u think of them wearing deck or “boat” shoes like this
They will be wearing khaki pants and either turquoise or green long sleeve guayabera shirts.
Or should I just tell them wear sandals? Or just be fair and let them be barefoot too? LOL

I think men’s feet are gross, too!!!! Ask them to hide their toes in the sand! HA!
I looove boat shoes. However, my SO hates them. He thinks they’re metro and lame and old mannish even though they’re very “in” right now. I have boat shoes i wear to work and i love them.
I think women can get away with no shoes. What about those showelels or whatever–the thong style jewelry for feet?

definitely sandals! That is a great look for beach weddings!

I think all feet are gross but it’s pretty hard to walk in the sand with any type of shoe on. I say let everyone have barefeet and then have the men hide their toes…LOL.

men barefoot would be too much, i think, but I voted for sandals because they would probably be really jealous of you girls with nothing and them having to wear shoes! Maybe have them have the option of wearing the boat shoes during the reception if they want to dance sans-flops.

For the beach itself, it might be best to go barefoot, which is also the easiest to walk on sand. Then at the reception, change into whatever they are most comfortable in.

FI thinks he’s going to be okay in dress shoes on the beach. I’m going to strongly suggest he wears flips or goes barefoot.
Also, he’s been informed that he’s going to go get a “man pedicure” before the wedding because man feet are gross.

I’m biased – my fiance grew up in Cape Cod and practically lives in boat shoes. But I think they’d be an awesome look for a beach wedding!
