What should the groom and groom's men wear? So confused.

@Waitingbee57:  Having no idea where Crystal Lake is, I don’t know what the temperature will be for you in October.

If you live in a warm climate khaki would be an option.

I like this lighter brown

Otherwise I would go with black or charcoal, mainly because I hate medium or chocolate brown suits.

Frst two questions before determining attire have nothing to do with colours.  How formal is the weddning?  What time does the ceremony start?

@Waitingbee57:  5 pm is the trickiest of start times.  IF you bump it to 6, Black Tie would be the most correct option, given your dress, and the nature of the ceremony (White Tie would be pretty silly at a rustic wedding).  Given that you start at 5, Morning Dress would be technically correct, but then you would be wearing day time formalwear into the evening.  How late into the evening does your reception go?  Sunset is at 6:18 the day of your wedding, so I don’t know if the light will be dimming by 5 yet.

What is the setting?  ndoors or out?

Whatever the men wear, it needs to be dark, and solid.  Brown is a somewhat informal suit colour, and definitely associated with the country.  Navy is your best option, if you are doing suits, I would say.  If you do brown, try to do a dark, chocolate brown.  With the formality of your dress, light coloured suits will look totally out of place.  The lightest I would go to is medium grey, but I don’t think grey suits your clours.  What kind of budget are you hoping to do for each of the (1) Groom’s outfit, and (2) GM’s outfits?
