I would go with 1/2 pint. Pint would tempt guests to fill it up and a pint is a LOT of candy per guest. :)
I ordered the half pint size from papermart and then decided that I wanted to go with a different theme that the take-out boxes won't work for. I now have 300 of these cute little boxes sitting in my dining room!
They are the perfect size for the candy buffet - the pint size would be too big.
A great website to order boxes from is www.papermart.com they have really good prices. I'm ordering the 1/2 pint boxes at $4.73 per package of 50. Hope this helps.

1/2 pint seems like a good size. If you go with the 1 pint, that's double the candy you'd have to provide. Maybe get a few extra boxes for if someone really, really wants more.
My 1/2 pint take out boxes are all decorated and sitting in my living room right now. I think that it's the perfect size. Not too much but just enough to have guests leaving happy:) Just don't pick giant candy or anything. Good luck!

I'm trying to order takeout boxes from papermart for our candy buffet. I'm not sure if I should get the 1/2 pint or pint boxes. If you're using boxes for your buffet, what size did youg et?
