Whatever size it is that is making you worry it’s not big enough on your finger.

lolee82:  it wasn’t meant as mean or nice, just a statement. ill apologize tho because there are a million posts on here asking what size people think their rings are because they hope they look bigger than they really are (insecure their ring isint “big enough”) And that’s what I assumed your post was about.

If you are looking to get ideas on what size rings look like for your finger size try searching the boards for size seven rings. It will really help you get an idea of what different shapes and sizes look like. That’s easier than picking a random picture and asking what size people think it is, as we don’t know the finger size and only see the close up shot.

lolee82:  Since you are out shopping, can you just jot down ring specs when you try them on? The jewelers will typically be happy to help you do that.

I’d guess .8 all the way up to a carat.  Emerald cuts always looks smaller than their carat weight in my opinion.  I wanted emerald until I saw what a 1 carat looked like, and it was disappointing.

lolee82:  Have fun! It’s going to be a blast looking at all of the sparkly stuff. I’m bad at guessing so I couldn’t give you more than “why not ask?” That’s what I have to do myself.

I would guess it’s close to 1 carat. I see so many people saying emerald cuts are smaller than other cuts (?) That has never been my experience.

It’s an amazing ring (and stone) – I think if you understand that emerald cuts flash light rather than sparkle. I love them and would pick the ring you’ve posted in a heartbeat!

There is a website that someone posted that shows you different sizes of stones on different finger sizes.  This might be helpful too in determining what size you are looking for.  Sorry I don’t know what the website is but it is in one of recent threds.  Either way, that ring you are looking at is beautiful!
